Re: The commercial value of Reason
Why does it matter which DAW is used to compose/record/produce music ? The magic is in the user, not the software. It may be that we don't hear as many commercial releases using Reason is because of a small overall market share. Propellerheads aren't exactly pitching their product for commercial use...

Re: Rig bundles requirements a lie?
Theres a fine line between speaking about dissatisfaction and being a dick yourself. I tend to ignore your posts as yes, you get drawn to posts like this like a fly to horse shit but please don't pretend what YOU do is "speaking about dissatisfaction". I would prefer you refrained from PERSONAL att...

Re: Rig bundles requirements a lie?
Right. Well, we all have different priorities and things to worry about. This isn't one of them to me. Yet you seek to make criticisms of other users a priority. Relax buddy, not everyone who deals with those lazy propellerhead people are reporting a positive outcome. Show some empathy, or just ign...

Re: Forum Member Top 5/10 Influential Artists/Bands/Producers
This thread isn't meant to be 'list every artist you love'. Just pointing that out as many of these 'top 5' topics often descend into 'heres every single cool thing i have ever enjoyed' and dilutes the original topic.

Re: Rig bundles requirements a lie?
They have not said they will fix anything ! The OPs issue is still not resolved and all they are doing is adding a disclaimer to their site. Propellerhead are DICKS and if you can't see that, beyond their awesome product, then that is your choice to remain ignorant. However, please don't belittle ot...

Light to dark. I work in low light and find the sequencer to be awfully illuminated. This has been brought up by many users who also enjoy working in low light studio conditions

Re: Rig bundles requirements a lie?
What exactly does that Propellerheads email really tell anyone that we don't already know? Its a pointless response and completely void of a solution or recompense. Smoke and mirrors, that all.

I don't feel I have ever finished a song, despite spending 20 to 40 hours a week for quite a few of years now.

Apart from a scalable brightness on the sequencer window, I feel that themes are a very low priority and would add no value to Reason (for me)

Re: Sausage Fest !
There is a Philippino pig dish called Cebu Lichon, but I am not sure what they do with the innards. A couple of years ago I was in a Burmese restaurant, and myself and a friend simply ordered blindly, based on the illustrations. On one of the selections, the waitress asked "really"? We said yes. a f...

The Beatles. Not in terms of specific techniques per se, but just the fact that they went from bubble gum pop to playing sitars, using orchestras, doing psychedelic stuff, medleys, etc. Also, they pushed the envelope in terms of the chords they used, the melodies they wrote, not to mention their ly...

FSM is A-OK by me, old man. It worships the meatballs right alongside the noodly appendages. So, another fine, fine display of meaty excellence is the Babi Guling. Babi Guling can only be found in one part of the world, the small island of Bali, in the Indonesian archipelago. What's most unusual is ...

In no particular order:
Ozric Tentacles
Simon Posford
Jethro Tull
Gong
Tool
Reasons being that they all pushed the boundaries and took music away from the standard, boring old 4/4, sing shit about love, verse chorus/verse/bridge structures, and instead marched to the beat of their own drum.

Here? No. In fact I started a thread about that because I have the weirdest problem with "notifications" It's been between 140-150 for every since they started this incarnation of the forum. That reminds me (a little slow on the uptake) I wonder if there is just a way to have it not show up? It's a...

Not sure we all write music to reflect our job. There seems to be many other inspirations in life from which to draw from.
