More water, more fiber, less little bitsy things that will get stuck in your colon's new coinpurses.
Hope you feel better really soon. Abdominal pain is the pits for patients and providers. Can be SO many things, and they all feel alike.

Re: Windows 10 compatibility
I'm having some issues with nVidia drivers in a multi-monitor setup (like the rest of the world), but everything else has been hunky-dory since upgrading to Win10. I lost a screen and the other screen looked appalling but a quick driver update put everything back as it should. It wasn't fun but, to...

You can force the upgrade (Google for methods), but you're better off waiting a few months. Win10 is pretty solid but still has enough bugs that I may end up rolling back to Win8.1 until they sort them all out.

Re: Controller suggestions for use with Reason?
I just purchased an Arturia Keylab 61 bundle with Bitwig (full version) for $250. I'll let you know if it is too good to be true. I needed a new controller and a VST host, so it seemed like a fair gamble.

I think the problem is that Deepndark isn't using $340 audiophile Ethernet cables in his rig.

Re: An uneducated question on Antidote
You can probably make Thor sound like Antidote (and I believe Benedict has) by putting many Thors in a combinator and adding extra effects. Rebuild and retweak all 12 or more devices every time you make a new patch. How much is your time worth? I agree with pjeudy. Antidote is a beast with an incred...

And both of these are examples of real-time apps. 250ms of latency would be brutal.jappe wrote: Why are they hell bent on making only real-time apps?

Thor.

Re: PH users only use MAC books and only write at 128.
I'm with you on wanting Android versions of the Props apps. My life is an Apple-free zone (except for the edible varieties). The biggest barrier to seeing these apps on Android is the lack of low latency audio APIs and hardware support. Apple has total control over their very expensive devices, and ...

Re: 2.2 quad core, 16gb ram Vs 2.6 quad core, 8gb ram. Which one?
I'd go with the faster processor. You can always upgrade the RAM if you need to, but you'll be stuck with the processor for the life of the laptop. 8GB is plenty for running Reason under most use cases. 16GB is nice, but overkill. Again, you can always upgrade (usually pretty inexpensively). Edit: n...

CPU load and scrolling in Reason
The biggest gain of upgrading your seven year old rig will be the improvements in bus speed and memory transfer. Raw CPU power probably isn't the bottleneck in your example because calculating the GUI just isn't that demanding. Quickly moving the graphics from RAM (raw assets and bitmaps) to CPU (to...

8GB RAM OR 16GB RAM????
My system has 16GB because I need it for another program that I use regularly. I've never noticed Reason using more than 8GB, and my 4GB notebook never has problems working with files with lots of samples and audio tracks. (High DSP rack extensions are another matter!) I don't think Reason is very m...

how to record the tail of a matrix sequencer
I would just automate the play button on the matrix to have it stop playing at 9 minutes. Then set end marker of the song to 10 minutes and bounce the song. But maybe i don't understand your question :) I don't think the play/run button can be automated, but the "pattern [enable]" light can... (the...

how to record the tail of a matrix sequencer
Make a sequencer lane for the pattern select on the Matrix (or the "run pattern devices" on the combinator it belongs to, if appropriate) by alt-clicking and either disable the "pattern" button, switch to an empty pattern or disable "run pattern devices" on the combi at the 9 minute mark. The Matrix...

The Softube REs in the bundle are quality but overpriced. I like Synapse DR-1 but decided to get Antidote instead. 4Dyne is nice but is easily replicated with combinators using stock or less expensive (Yoko Band Splitter) REs. The DCAM units are good, but are often on sale. Can't comment on any of t...

db level QUESTION
Decibels (dB) are strange units. Like the Richter scale for earthquakes, db is a logarithmic scale - increasing a signal by 3dB roughly doubles the sound energy; decreasing by 3dB roughly halves the sound energy. Ears and brains don't pay much attention to chalkboard physics... strangely, you have t...
