Re: UTL Modifier - new RE from Lectric Panda
This is exactly the kind of device I've been missing, for instance when I'm using the PSQ-1684 and spend too much time fiddling and fine tuning the range and offset knobs on the quantizer, to stay away from those piercing high notes, or when I want to use an lfo set to random to do note values for a...

Re: How do I force Players to treat input as monophonic?
So I have a basic arp setup using DualArp Player: Basically going playing notes at 1/8 speed, first the played note, then one octave up (repeat). This is the basic arp from New Order's Blue Monday, for example. I'm able to start by playing C2 on keyboard, then let's say D#2. What I want the arp to ...

Re: RND Generator Randomizer from Lectric Panda
I bought this recently and kind of wish I had it available as a rack extension, as well as a player, so I could drag it into the rack and use it for modulation purposes without having to create an instrument first.... Nice device though With this one here you can route it anywhere to CV inputs and ...

If only they could have that Parsec update in the reward store. I would sure use my 50 points on that. I absolutely REFUSE to pay full price for that update.....but they keep on insisting.

Re: Interesting VST problem
Hey there, So, yep, I forgot to add that the synths are authorized in iLok/pace and are fully playable in other daws. I have confirmed that they are the 64 bit versions, so at least on the surface, they seem to be operating normally. Have you updated Reason? I'm being prompted with a new update whe...

Re: Interesting VST problem
Hey there all, I recently rebuilt my Reason machine as I was running into some non-music related issues, and since rebuilding the machine, have hit a Reason VST issue I am not sure how to resolve. I have Windows 10 1803 running Reason 10 and have fully rebuilt all of the envrionment to allow for my...

Re: Best VST Host?
My apologies, but I'll spam some more now  This is the second Softube Modular patch I've recorded. In addition to the fundamental Doepfer Modules I also use the Doepfer Vactrol LPG, the Buchla 259e Twisted Oscillator, Mutable Instruments' Clouds, 4ms PEG, 4ms SMR, Softube Tube Delay and Tsar R...

Actually Savihost works surprisingly well, and is by far the easiest one I've used so far. Here's the first Softube Modular patch I've built and recorded in Savihost (and then "mastered" in Reason):

Re: Best VST Host?
This seems very good, and I ran a test just now, works beautifully.... BUT, It can't record audio unless you pay 69$ for the solo version, plus there's an annual update fee. That's a deal breaker for me I'm afraid.... You asked for the best VST host. I did, and I thank you. I'm still on the fence h...

Re: Best VST Host?
The most recent one I've used is vPlayer 2 , which is free: https://www.digitalbrain-instruments.com/freebies It has slots to simultaneously load up to 4 VSTs. My only complaint is its UI controls seem a bit laggy at times, but otherwise it's a decent VST host. Thank you! This looks very promising....

Best VST Host?
Ok, so I could not resist it any longer and decided to try Softube Modular (going for $ 37.80 at pugindiscounts.com). It actually seemed to work fine in Reason 10, until I picked up the additional 4ms Spectral Multiband Resonator, and everything turned into a laggy hell. But then I figured I could a...

Re: Torsion Texture Lab from Lectric Panda
So I bought it and I love it,
and it even made me walk around the house with my old Zoom H4n hunting for samples
....but I kinda wish I had individual audio outputs, one for each grain engine. Possible future update?

Re: Torsion Texture Lab from Lectric Panda
Another cute little bug I found: If I go to EDIT to undo something I just did, it sometimes says "Undo Nostromo Change" and "Redo Nostromo Change". I find this to happen when I want to undo something I did in the MOD MATRIX or when I want to undo adjustments I have done to the looping markers in the...

Re: Torsion Texture Lab from Lectric Panda
From the manual page 6: "Squeeze Squeeze enables Torsions internal gain leveler. Under the hood is an upwards compressor to raise quiet signals followed by a downwards compressor / limiter to smooth transients that a burst of grains can generate." Kept looking for this Squeeze button, but figured o...

Re: RE Synth Song Challenge (no prize)
Here's a joke of a track I did using only the good old ID8 Instrument. It's an unceremonious improvisational piece, where every track is unedited and done in one take. I first laid down the piano, then played the bass, added the drum track, then the horns, and finally the synth solo. I did quantize ...

An improvisation on Parsec, played in one take from beginning to end with no edits afterwards and run through feedback delay and reverb. https://soundcloud.com/ahornberg/out-of-the-lair This is really taking me places. Thank you for the challenge! My entry is not made with a synth, but rather with a single oscillator, the Blamsoft VO-1 Viking Oscillator.
