Re: device error

I'm afraid that Proton has a bug that causes a Device Error if Reason's sample rate is set to 192 kHz. A fix will be included in the next product update.

Re: Proton Granular Synth!

Hi, Is there a remote map file available or at least a list of the remote mapable controls, wanting to do a remote map for the Nektar, yes I know how to get the names out of the device but it's a slow process... The Remote names should be in the manual, of course. I'll make sure the manual is update...

Hi, As an aside tho the developer doesn't respond to emails at the official email address. The address to use for feedback and support queries is support@soundlove.se. I believe I did answer your question about the doppler problem in an email I sent to you from the address gustav@loveone.se on Janua...

Hi,
Gorgon wrote:Wait a minute. Proton does not actually store the sample?
No, Rack Extension patch files refer to samples. I believe all devices in Reason that use samples do the same thing.

Hi,
deepndark wrote:Hey, a question: When I load a sample into Proton, is there a 100% settings, so the played sample sounds exactly like a raw sample in a browser?
No, the entire point of Proton is to mangle your samples. :puf_bigsmile:

Re: Proton Granular Synth!

"If you want to save the patch, you first need to un-self-contain the sounds in the Song Self-Contain Settings dialog." I'm sorry, but I don't understand how this is different from the other sample-enabled devices in Reason. If you do the same thing with a Kong instance it'll give you the exact sam...

Re: Proton Granular Synth!

etyrnal2 wrote:who do we talk to to get that changed?
Propellerhead. This is something dictated by the functionality of the SDK; Rack Extension developers have no way to manipulate the patch file format.

Re: Proton Granular Synth!

is it IMPOSSIBLE to add the right-click abilities to the existing interface? or would it just take more development time? The SDK currently does not have the ability to open this menu inside a custom display. i'd love to be able to map midi controller knobs to some parameters for live automation ma...

Re: Proton Granular Synth!

Hi, i tried saving patches that use FACTORY soundbank samples, and it won't let me. Which makes NO sense since EVERY copy of Reason WILL have the Factory Soundbank. Also, i tried saving a patch that referenced a sound that i created when i used "bounce to new sample" , and it wouldn't let me save it...

Re: Proton Granular Synth!

Hi, Sorry if this has already been asked as I haven't read all the pages of this thread yet, but will right click automation be something available in the future? It would require an update to the API for custom displays in the Rack Extension SDK. I don't know what Propellerhead is planning for the ...

Hi,
Marc64 wrote:Is it possible to make so the granual movements on the sample display moves more smoothly? or is it my computer.
What you are describing is probably a bug in Proton: the waveform display update rate is capped at 25 fps. I'll make sure that is fixed in the next update.

Re: Proton Granular Synth!

Hi,
Loque wrote:But, the sample is not within the patch. Weird stuff... So, Benedict, your help was not realy helpful.
The SDK is designed in such a way that Rack Extension patches can only refer to samples. There is currently no way to store the actual sample data inside the patch.

Re: Proton Granular Synth!

Hi, But i just need the names of the available remote items. Re: Proton Granular Synth!

Hi, In Proton, is everything automatable with a right click like with most Reason devices? I'm asking because with Vibro you couldn't do that with most controls if I remember correctly. This is a limitation with the current SDK, unfortunately. To create an automation lane, choose the parameter you w...
