while songwriting is there any benefit to having the root note of the key playing consistently in quarters all along the track... For example in C Major Key...having the note C repeatedly softly playing on a piano in quarter notes i feel like it could help remind me of where i need to return every s...

i'm back to square one i've been trying all the methods above...... i'm using filter 1 in this case https://i.ibb.co/541352t/should.png as you can see on top AUDIO IN and AUDIO OUT show signal so it seems ok... but the filter has no effect on the sound when i change it am i doing anything wrong here...

You can wire the envelope generator to the cv input of a combinator. Then assign that cv input to the cutoff of each synth in the combinator programmer.
