Re: Removing noise from sample
Giles, what about splitting the signal, then filtering out all but the noise (on one channel), inverting it, then mixing it back into the other channel? Perhaps even applying a micro delay to one channel (100% wet, no feedback) and trying to fine tune the timing. Could something like that work? Sur...

Re: Giving R12/R+ some love
Thinking a bit more about this, Reason+ will make it near impossible to discontinue anything from now on. One of the 'features' of Plus is that you can unsubscribe for a while and then resubscribe later when you want to use it again. But if something gets discontinued during that period, your proje...

Any chance you’ve changed monitor configurations and it’s showing up on a monitor that isn’t actually there?

Often it doesn't matter whether you intend to monetize it or not - the record company making the copyright claim can decide to run ads on your video anyway and get the revenue.

Re: Not HD
I don't believe so. While I have yet to install R12 myself, my understanding is that the current implementation of zoom is intended to be a set-and-forget adjustment that helps those of us with very high resolution monitors. More dynamic zooming such as you are describing is, I believe, on a wishlis...

The vendors have always provided HD artwork. You need to resync all your Rack Extensions, and there is a separate help article on getting the SoundIron and Radical Piano devices updated (you need to delete and redownload)

https://youtu.be/XUEVvDtZCuU Not me but my son, who wanted to try re-arranging a rock song for orchestra. All done in Reason, making heavy use of the Spitfire BBCSO Discover plug in. Full details are in the description on YouTube. He would be grateful for any feedback and constructive criticism. Sti...

Re: Reason and MIDI
The most likely reason that you don’t have anything to select in the audio input selector is that you don’t have the MBox selected as your sound card in Reason’s Preferences window (Edit > Preferences > Audio Device, I think - at least on PC). Check that first. As for your question about the Matrix,...

Re: Rock and roll part 2
To be fair, “Rock & Roll Part 2” - the name of the song - is the title of this thread, and it *is* a very famous track. It’s perhaps better known these days in the US as “the ‘hey’ song”, played by pep bands at school football games. Still, if you weren’t aware of it, I guess I can’t blame you for m...

Re: How big is the R11 upgrade installation footprint?
Thanks for all the guidance, folks. As a pc user for over 30 years, I have been surprised how well the pc has been working with only 6gb on the c: drive. It’s also a very old (probably >10 years at this point) computer so, really, it’s a testament to the software that it is still so stable and produ...

How big is the R11 upgrade installation footprint?
I gave in to the May Madness temptation to upgrade to R11, but before I install it I wanted to see if anyone can educate me on how much more HD space R11 takes over R10 which is already installed. I have ~6GB left on my c: drive. All REs have already been moved to another drive (though the FSB is st...

Re: Have Propellerhead / Reason Studio's Ever Changed a Feature?
Why would you accidentally double click a parameter when double clicking it has no other function? Quite simply: because it *is* accidental. It’s not something that is done because you suddenly forgot the correct function; it’s done because the muscles in your finger twitched and you double-clicked...

Are you thinking of the Novation Bass Station? That was going to be my guess, too. :-) Nice to see the positivity in this thread. Pheew! What an evening. This summer, I ugraded my abandoned Reason 6.5 to 11 Suite because I had such a modular fever. Spent about 1300 Euro in all and loved it more than ever. Being unaware of the latest development, I went to the Reason Studios page this noon and completely panicked, when it seem...

When you listen to many of these great songs of the 80s, you think - gee that's simple, I could reproduce that easily with my DAW! But when you try to reproduce it, you learn just how complex the original track was, veiled in apparent simplicity! The tools of the trade definitely make it easier the...
