Re: Reason and Huge Track Counts
R12 is not production ready. Using it with a client is asking for trouble, IMO. Stick with 11 for now.

Agreed, Algorithm seems the best choice.
Some of the items on your list are probably going to be a better deal come black friday which is not far away.

Re: RS Happy Accident Bundle in Shop
As far as I know, the crossgrade offer should be "dynamic", and not worry about when you got PatMut, just whether or not you own it. So you should be good to go if that's your plan -- get PatMut via Rewards, then get the bundle to get both Friktion and Algo for the price of one. Thanks Ja...

Re: RS Happy Accident Bundle in Shop
Obviously an offer aimed at R11 suite owners who want to complete their collection.. Oh wait that’s me! I guess it’s one way to settle the Friktion vs Algorithm rewards battle many of us have. Can anyone confirm that the get PM with rewards then crossgrade option works? Or do you only get the the cr...

Re: All RS Rack Extensions are now in the Rewards Shop
My old reward points now show up and expire a year from now. Fair enough, I should manage to spend them by then.
Obviously it would be better if points didn't expire at all, but all in all I think this transition was handled pretty well by RS.

Re: VSTs are too small now in Reason 12
The first priority should be separate zoom for the entire rack window.
Avoid floating windows if possible.
Don't remove the rack navigator.
Improve the scrolling speed when dragging devices across a wide rack, this takes far too much time.
Next step: Ctrl+mousewheel to zoom the rack dynamically.

Re: Reason 12.2.1 Release Notes
Dragging and dropping is terrible in the rack as well, sometimes you must disconnect the cablses from a device to move it where you want it.
The cablses? Yeah, I'll leave that in.

Re: Where do Reason projects store audio files?
They are stored within the project files yes, I would guess they are not encrypted but stored in a raw binary, possibly compressed, format that is not simple for users to access.
You can shift-click the samples to select all for export, no problem there

Uh.. guys, is anyone having problems with "Bounce in place" now? I can make logging assert when bouncing and get the prompt you get in release with a similar patch. Reported it anyway. Connect the output to the combi and it should work, there is no physical cable in the signal chain connected to th...

Uh.. guys, is anyone having problems with "Bounce in place" now? I have a simple sequencer clip on a combinator track which I try to bounce, it gives the error: Capture.PNG The same operation works in my R11 version of the project. Here is the routing of the combi, looks great to me? The track is co...

Re: Reason 12.2.1 Release Notes
The hi-res is finally starting to shine now (bug as mentioned by others earlier in thread excepted). Application zoom level changes are quick, I could probably live with it now if they gave us a hotkey or ctrl-mousewheely thing to change zoom level. I'd still prefer a separate zoom level for the rac...

How much data has people with no issue's got in the list of files and locations in the browser? I am wondering this as well. Re: Reason Studios shares their roadmap
I haven't seen this shared on the forum yet, it's an update from the CTO: https://www.reasonstudios.com/blog/enabling-music-making She talks about the core underlying technology and standardisation, I think this is nice update. If I were CTO I would focus (after the R12 bugfixes mind) on making Reas...

Re: All RS Rack Extensions are now in the Rewards Shop
I assumed left over points carried over. If you use a 100* voucher what ever points are left are gone*?. It's never worked like that unfortunately. You spend the entire voucher upon use. That expiry text is new BTW, it was not there last week. Probably James cleaning up. It has been in the FAQ for ...

Re: Do you prefer REs or VSTs?
I like the RE concept in theory too. There are unfortunately very few REs out there that are anywhere near the quality of the top VSTs, so I voted VST just because of that. Also while I don’t like the extra clicks to open up the VST interfaces, I do like that (most of them) can be resized and aren’t...

Yes, however when one version of a particular program is working perfectly and the next version is not, on the same computer, it’s usually an issue with that program.

Since R12 takes advantage of the GPU, are you sure you’re not hearing the GPU fan? These are often more powerful and loud than CPU fans.

Aha. It’s 109 euros over here.
So we have to pay 29% more for the same product, I’m hoping that is down to taxes and nothing else.
