Re: Elektron Overbridge VST, Does it work ok?
probably not a lot of people here have elektron machines
i am refreshing every 5 minutes my mail to see if the beta invite is there.
if overbridge does not work, i would be very very sad.

Re: Could Reason get a better multicore support?
I do not know about multicore support in Windows, but with OSX it is really really bad. Still I am not sure if it is Proppellerhead's fault or Apple's. I run Reason on Windows with Bootcamp to test the performance and it is about 15% bettern than with native OSX. Since we now have VST. Maybe we can ...

Re: why thor FM synthesis is numbers
carrier: the first number is the multiple of the frequency you are playing. if you hit an A4 on the keyborad the frequency is 440Hz. if the number is 1, it just plays 440Hz. If the number is 2 then it is 880Hz, 3 is 1320Hz, and so on. the second number is the multiple of the frequency of the the car...

If they continue to develope REs I will support Blamsoft, Lectric Panda, Jiggery Pokery, Ochen K, Zvork, Robotic Bean and also others. I am not interested in VSTs except Reaktor and Overbridge. Now i am going to buy VK-2.

Re: VST in reason, effects on the rack extension market?
I really wonder if reveal audio are pissed off, now that they just put in so much energy to port spire over to RE. How about other developers? Whats their view on this? They suddenly got a ton of new competitors. I personally don't see anything that i really want on the VSTi market, except from the...

Honestly I do not need VSTs at all. We have all we need and even more with REs. On the other hand, Reaktor in Reason, omg, is amazing.

Re: REASON gets VST !!!!!!
if this is true, doesn't it mean that REs were not as successful as they hoped to be? otherwise from a business perspective it would have been wiser to implement vst in the first place instead of spending thousands of dollars in developing the RE format, SDK and whatnot.

Re: REASON gets VST !!!!!!
if this is true they will somehow destroy their USP, which is the rack, the audio and cv connections. let's face the truth: the sequencer in Live and the overall features are far more advanced than in Reason. i just do not like this news. Reason might change in a direction i do not like my favourite...

Re: Do you listen to your own music?
I make music that I feel no one esle is making so yeah, I def listen to my own music. I listen to it more during the process of making it than after it's released. While I'm making music I can't really listen to anything close to what I'm making. So I'll listen to my music or stuff totally unrelate...

thank you alex. this is really interesting. the first method is a bit more phasey than usual, like a mix between PWM and detuned OSCs. But good enough for me.

ohhhhh....someone should turn the Machinedrum synth engines to a rack extension. since they are not analog but digital it would be possible. now that would be awesome.

Re: Drum Synth REs?
I would love to see a dedicated synth only for drums. even if you can do a lot with "usual" synths, it is justified to have a synth that is specialized in drums. especially workflow-wise. i once had something like this on the ipad and it was amazing, intuitive and fast. do not remember the name thou...

Re: Zero Pulse Width Modulation
i never heard of sytrus but it looks like Zero is heavily inspired by sytrus. Even the envelopes are in the same order (Pan, Vol, Mod, Pitch, Phase). Then again Sytrus is heavily inspired by FM7 and FM8.
I know how FM works, but i wondered how to PWM with Zero only with a single osc without using FM.

Re: Zero Pulse Width Modulation
i now could recreate the sound with TRES and as well as with VK-1. Maybe Zero is just not suited to recreate such simple "classic" sounds since it is especially amazing for FM sounds.

Zero Pulse Width Modulation
I tried to recreate a Thor sound in Zero but failed miserably. I just could not find out how the pulse width modulation works in Zero. Modulating the phase with an LFO seems to be answer, but it does not sound the same as in Thor. E.g. my settings in Thor are an analog pulse osc with PW at 64 and th...

love the sound! but why is this one instance taking up all my cpu, i have a macbook pro (not the one with a touch screen but only like 6-8 months old) and my cpu bars only have one or two left! will this device manage consumption with an update? or is this my computer just being a dunce? can't wait...

Re: Blamsoft and eXode present VK-2 Viking Synthesizer
the sound quality and patch quality are huge. i thought i do not need any new synth, but boy am i wrong. i am also gladly surprised by the FXs. Best thing is that you can sort them in an instant, i think this is the first RE synth that can do that!? how about a vk-2/expanse bundle? :) regarding audi...
