Re: More Propellerhead Stupidity
For today's instalment of Propellerhead STUPIDITY, I'm trying to make a purchase, select PayPal, untick the 'one click' option, and it tries to charge the PP account they have on file (which has a zero balance), and won't give me the option to change. I have come to expect EVERY dealing with this co...

All of a sudden, their new marketing appeals to me. Although 'cool cool prices' would have been a nice byline to that striking font.

Where Do Old Tracks Go When They Die ?
I'm sure we all have many unfinished projects hogging our hard drives. Great ideas that were never followed through, for whatever reason. So let's listen to some of them. Share your retired odditties. This was a project I started on, to showcase Ron Papen's Vecto synth. I got slack, time ran out, an...

Re: POLL: Which version of Reason are you using?
Good stuff, joet63. The magic doesn't happen with a gigantic array of digital plugins. For computer-based music, Reason 3 can produce outstanding music ! The 'Latest & Greatest' crowd of software-updaters appear fixated on the dream, while not particularly making anything worth listening to. Reason ...

Re: is Propellerhead dying?
Looperman is more advanced in many ways and less advanced in many ways than Discover/Figure/Take/Reason. With the negative features of Discover/Figure/Take/Reason, it is still a part of a relatively new industry-wide concept to be able to use your phone to compose with elementary synths that sound ...

Radical Bundle is $89! If you don't have this, I highly suggest grabbing it! https://shop.propellerheads.se/product_bundle/radical-instruments-bundle/ Oops! That's not supposed to be there! Sorry, but had to remove it. Here he is ! To say that Propellerhead did a 'woopsie'. That dev. has had...

Re: A little disappointed: Nektar P Series
I bought the P1 a few months ago, and had been excited for some time to get it, but now I do I don't use it as much as I thought. I find that the available instructions are very limited, and it exhibits some strange behaviours when using it in mixer/fader mode. I guess I'll have to spend a lot more ...

"Remove Bars Between Locators"
I use this feature A LOT, but it's a bit frustrating that it does not exactly remove the segments that I require. Typically it will cut some extra from the audio stem further from the right hand side. This is with the SNAP disabled. Any suggestions? I'm about to abandon Reason for the work that requ...

Re: SSL mixer hide child channels
Adding to the call for hidden subgroups. Some of my projects have so many drum channels my brain melts when I open them up. I've resorted to using 14:2 mixers instead but using the main mixer instead would be better for sends etc. I used to do this in the pre-SSL days, wire all my drums into a 14:2...

I read somewhere that Walmart is going to start having DJ's. True? Well, I wouldn't expect to pay more than minimum wage for someone to simply play some records, pump their fists in the air and wear a funny hat. So Walmart sounds like the perfect opportunity for a DJ Waddayasay, freeQ? :puf_bigsmile:

Re: Racism: alive and well ..
Good point gak. I similarly could rattle off a number of appalling historical and ongoing human rights issues relating to aborigines in my convict cousin Namrahs Amrak's homeland as a retort to his banter about New Zealand. But it's not for here and wouldn't gain anything. But Namrahs Amrak, I know...

Go to ANY guitar forum and see if you can find out how many guitarists use Reason as their primary DAW. If Propellerhead are marketing to guitarists, WHERE ARE ALL THE CUSTOMERS???

Re: is Propellerhead dying?
Exactly what does all the synths in the store have to do with propellerhead? Propellerhead made two of them, the rest were made by independent developers, as far as I know. Propellerhead run a platform that requires DA Exclusive plugins. How many amp sim developers have they TRIED to get on board ?...

I'm also becoming a regular user of Selig Gain, it's great when trying to stay at a reasonable level with room to bump on the desk.
Also using Selig Leveler for ongoing work, and it's a bit of a secret weapon.

Re: is Propellerhead dying?
I certainly don't think they are targeting guitarists over electronic musicians. There are how many synths in the store? Got to be 20 by now. In comparison there is only one stock guitar amp (well two during the line6 transition) and only one single developer who offers amps. Sure, R7 had that promo...

I wasn't sure what 'Faroe's are', so had to look it up. Basically the slow, mentally challenged little brothers to Denmark. Kinda like New Zealand is to Australia.
I've got an Indian friend, and she's extremely racist.. only against other Indians. Does that even count ?
