Re: Meteora Is Free Before Removal From Shop
Once I jumped into old Citroen CV. The suspension was too soft, acceleration was just shitty, no comfort with the wheel, etc .. I said: terrible car, the worst I drove so far. One man said: harsh words, can you make better one? By the way. There must be reason that developer gives it away. Probably ...

Re: New Pricing for Reason 12 - Upgrades now 199 from 129
Everything goes to the subscription model. The price of Reason was pretty high in comparison to other DAWs. Now R12 is going to be almost the priciest one. Rack Extensions cost millions. Drum Sequencer 75 Euro - are you kidding me? It's worth 19. It is the policy of CEO. Force people to buy subscipt...

Re: Most overrated and underrated VST developers (can list specific VSTs too)
@ArcoZ Fabfilter - funky GUI, nothing under the hood What does funky GUI and nothing under the hood mean? Melda - hugely overpriced because of technical complexity but poor musical quality (free bundle is OK) So the free sheit has better musical quality?? Fab filter - nothing special under th...

Re: Most overrated and underrated VST developers (can list specific VSTs too)
I consider Waves Malware, ever since my laptop was bundled with a shitty Waves "enhancer" (with maxxbass, of course) as the default multimedia sound wrapper in a way that could not be easily removed. At least I could turn it off, but it's always sitting there in my system tray, like a goblin. :P Bu...

Re: Most overrated and underrated VST developers (can list specific VSTs too)
Some crazy talk going on here! of course subjectivity is important, but let's keep it on planet Earth. Fabfilter & Izotope are both top-tier, they make tools for professionals. They have clear, workflow-based UIs which are not "eye candy", they are designed to save you time which is really importan...

Re: Most overrated and underrated VST developers (can list specific VSTs too)
Honest question: what EQ do you think is equal in quality, features and workflow to Pro-Q3? I will check it out. there’s a reason I included the word functionality. that means similar workflow and usability. Pro-Q3 is a very pricey piece of software and in fact has a speedy workflow. No doubt about...

Overrated: Fabfilter - funky GUI, nothing under the hood Ozone - only one tool is worth considering - master rebalance Soothe - OK but nothing special DSEQ - Soothe alternative but after 3 months playing with it I've just given it up Melda - hugely overpriced because of technical complexity but poo...

Re: Arturia Analog Lab V for $35 until 8/8/21
It works! But There is one problem. I upgraded as written before and on my account there were two products Analog Lab Lite and Analog Lab V. I decided to remove Lite version from my account and the algorithm removed both versions so after paying money I have no product!!!!!!! This is a SCANDAL!!!!!!...

Re: Van Halen Jump Super Saw Plus
I suggest to download the jump file from van halen. Then play your cmb-malstrom file and HEAR HOW DISTANT YOU ARE!!!!! I've just done it and I wonder how people lack of self-criticizm. The sound is miles away from the original. The original file has 6 detuned sawwaves. You got four. The original sou...

Re: Reason as a DAW - the future
Your view is generally right but a bit to spicy IMHO. I've made over 100 commercial tracks on Reason and I really like the "Reason Concept" All they need to do is to accomodate to the new reality. The Reason Agenda should be scalable GUI . If only Reason Studios had taste buds in their deaf ears my...

Re: Reason as a DAW - the future
This release shows three things about Reason we have been witnessing with each new version for years now: 1. The company and developers do not care about what you want. There is no relationship between the features that are released and the features that are requested. 2. Reason programmers are stu...

Check Reaper Preferences (ctrl-P) and your plugins folders: Plug-ins/VST
You should find in your computer the folder "Reason Rack Plugin.vst3"
It should be placed in one of the folders defined in your Preferences

Re: Reason as a DAW - the future
Reason has no future as a DAW but has a future as a VST Plugin. I had that prophetic view at least 5 years ago and at that time I was ridiculed. (it was the time of currently nonexistent Reason Forum) Now Reason is VST Plugin - I WAS RIGHT. You will find the prove in my old posts. And now the answer...

I had no problems with authorizing to Ignition Key. Works perfectly.
You have to be aware that authorizer.exe must be run to do it (as far as I recall).

I've made a short comparison of RRack and corresponding VST plugins: DAW: Reaper. All settings the same on both channels 1st Channel: Serum Rack (Tsar1 + Tsar1 + FET Compressor) 2nd Channel: Serum Tsar1 Tsar1 FET Compressor Results in Performance Meter: 1st Channel: 3,12% - 5,01% - 0 PDC 2nd Channel...

Re: IKMultimedia plug-ins: Quality or $1 crap?
IK plugins are very high quality plugins. No cheats. They are comparible to Waves - I believe. I can smell some kind of copying of Waves behavior. Neve EQ are better than Waves API EQ are worse than Waves SSL Comp is a copy of Waves but it's a bit a bit worse. Tape plugins are better than Waves. Cha...

Re: Announcing Reason 11
Since ca. 6 years even before Reasontalk existed I predicted that Reason will end up as a VST plugin. Kinda prophet? No :) I was thinking in a very reasonable way. The code of Reason is unreformable. The distance between Reason and the rest grows. VST implementation was the suicide. The next logical...

Re: L’otary? How much rotary does one need?
It's very limited and mediocre plugin. If you want the real thing - IK Leslie is the way to go. I went ahead and tried the demo of both. Nah!! Not for me. I’m actually set with Psyclone :). Thanks for the input though. Maybe you should go and do the comparison once again. Psyclone is a toy compared...
