Hmm was just having a go at this using the trial. I’m mostly a patch user (especially as a starting point) and I’m running into a real lack of (synth style) bass and kick drum patches. This may be difficult.

I put Tape 80 on every track almost. It adds a subtle yet amazing amount of body to the track.

I’m tempted to try the “retro box” thing. I’d probably run Reason 8 - otherwise I’d miss convolution reverbs. Not sure how to do that though… I’d have to find a downloadable v8, and would my current license even authenticate an old version? I'm pretty sure you can run an older version of Reason wit...

Yeah I found this part really interesting. I always thought folding wasn’t possible in the RE format, but he says that’s not the case.

The free version obviously. The free version can do alot especially if you're just working with MP3 and WAV files.

I would agree with him completely. My friend is using (a continuous struggle it seems), Logic for music making because that's what she learned in a sound/music course she studied. But I keep trying to push Reason because I find it just so freeing for creating music. Obviously Logic can do loads more...

Looks like there's a button on the front, but it appears to switch between mono and stereo monitoring (judging by the labelling). Sounds like you're using the "direct monitoring" feature of an audio interface. Can you confirm, is the "Monitor" button turned on, on your interface?

If you're listening back through Reason with effects, like a guitar amp sim, the Monitor function needs to be off.

Glacius X does this to me every 2nd patch almost.. painful to use.

I take it this is based on the same or similar synth that the ES-01 is by Ekss? I really like the random feature. I’m more of a patch and tweak guy, than a programmer so getting a random starting point sounds great.

I believe they make their own RE versions. They seem like nice folks.

It's close to the reveal now. I'd say we won't see any new teases until at least a week before. Unless anything came from Superbooth that we/I haven't seen yet?
