Re: Duplicate note lane?
Ctrl+drag works fine here to duplicate clips to anywhere, on the same lane or to a new lane (or newly created *dub*). ... yeah for the clip, you can ctrl drag it within the note lane, or to a new note lane you create manually first, but i'm talking about the whole note lane, where ctrl drag (or any...

Duplicate note lane?
hi. i often duplicate note lanes and play around with them to experiment with different versions, is there a quick way to do this as a single command? at the moment i'm copying a midi clip, creating a new note lane and pasting the clip into it. i'm aware of the "duplicate note range" under "extract ...

Re: Best Parsec Refills?
... There are also many Refill Developers that do not sell via the Ph shop. These Refill Developers sell directly to the Reason community via their own site. I'm compiling a list of these and will include them in the site soon. this would definitely be a great addition to an already great resource....

Re: JPS Harmonic Synthesizer in the shop. $79 US
just had a play with the demo for quite some time and i gotta say i love it. rarely do i sit down with a new synth and find myself spinning new sounds from existing patches and from scratch where it's just so much actual fun! :D and i agree with the above comment that it's nice for creating sounds t...

Re: The Science of Sample Rates *Reading time*
I've read the article. Maybe I should have said, "to be fair to Nyquist, Shannon, Whittaker, and Kotelnikov..." The problem isn't with the math, it's with meat space. The distortions aren't being introduced because the samples are closer together, they're introduced because the electronics involved...

Re: The Science of Sample Rates *Reading time*
an increase in timing errors at those super high rates makes distortion go up, which makes reproduction accuracy go down.
but i'm not saying it personally! a number of the very top experts are in the linked article. give it a read.

Re: The Science of Sample Rates *Reading time*
:puf_bigsmile: I can hear the difference between .mp3 and .wav but I can't hear any difference between 44.1kHz and any samplerate above. So I stay on 44.1 yep. the linked article is only about pure sampling rate. everyone agrees mp3 compression damages the sound especially at lower bit rates. i jus...

Re: move "Tutorials and Techniques" to a top level forum?
I agree, it does feel a bit hidden there. A super great resource like that deserves to be in the front. Perhaps put "Hardware and other software" under the Kitchen area to keep the overview overviewable. i agree. if that is the reason why tutorials and techniques was made a sub forum then by all me...
