Thanks for the advice - I've cleaned up the voice track considerably. I'd heard it myself so many times over, I guess I learnt to ignore the obvious artefacts, plosives, crackles and rumbles. I *think* I have it, now....

That song has a lot of potential with a bit of tweaking, a middle-8 / breakdown of some kind. And IMHO the part that goes 'Good times we had together, I'll remember you forever' should be the culmination, the resolution, the payoff. So you want to 'hint' at it earlier and then really let it bloom a...

Thanks - I've shortened the overall length a tiny bit now so the synth sits in a different place. I've EQ'd the synth a bit, centered it slightly and dropped it an octave a little later in the piece... oh - and I threw in some deeper beats at the drop...
