Why do you make a duplicate instance of your drum patterns for triggering the sidechain? Why not just tap off the original channel? I usually choose long release sources to trigger the sidechain for more control than just attack and release on the comp. I like to mess with the "trigger" sample leng...

There are sooooo many good basses in the new soundbank in almost every category. I have found cool basses in fx and textures of all places. Also, as other have said, making sounds yourself is the best way to get the sound you want.

Just to be totally clear, you want a whole lately/solid bass refill and not just a patch? there are a few in the factory sound bank, tell me what they were lacking and maybe I can whip something up for you.
