Re: Real time pitch shift
I think that's the closest we have in Reason at the moment: https://shop.propellerheads.se/product/ ... celerator/
As for VST/AU, I'd recommend NI Form. https://www.native-instruments.com/en/p ... nths/form/
In the meanwhile, I hope the NNs get some refresh soon.

Re: Doubt with creating automation CURVES like fl studio!!
Hey man sorry I didn't have much time today. I don't know how to help!!! There's that function "Adjust alien clips to lane" when you move automation data around and it becomes striped with red bars... in my experience it just scales the range, for example 0-10 to 0-127 (it does that with Korg Polysi...

Re: On the responsibility of artists.
I think the main consequence of media influence is obviously not word-by-word gangsta or slutty behaviour (as for the above examples with rap and teeny pop) but rather their surrounding culture. That may be language idioms and words, clothing etc but mainly and ultimately perception of self, and the...

Re: On the responsibility of artists.
Then we go back to the points in the thread about art being produced for a regime. Nice. Even when it is not directly commissioned by an entity such as the Vatican or whichever organised structure is ruling like the evil Soviet Government, the majority of popular art (mainstream, consumer etc) stil...

Re: On the responsibility of artists.
I get ya but art without any sense of place or story seems like a sentence made of random words. Maybe that is just me tho. :) Maybe you are referring to the universal structure used in all forms of communication, starting with mythology? (the J. Campbell Heroes archetype) But then here I said 'com...

Re: On the responsibility of artists.
I went to an exhibition of North Korean art once. A Dutch collector had collected hundreds of paintings during his business travels in the DPRK. What I learned there is that in North Korea, art is purely in service of social ideals, and artists are subservient to the state. Not exactly surprising, ...

Re: On the responsibility of artists.
Interesting thoughts. I agree with platzangst 100%. It makes me wonder about why many may confuse art and communication duties, but it appears to make sense: art has a communicative force that official communicative roles/professions wish they had :) hence the mixing of the two since forever. And si...

Re: Clip Distortion
Scream will cover all distortion needs. Distortion is achieved by clipping, so Logic's 'Clip Distortion' is not a particular effect type, if not for its design structure, and that can be easily replicated in the Rack. Filtering before and/or after clipping will dramatically alter the effect. Try tha...

Re: Q: SSL invert phase (or polarity) button
Trig? Really? I'd think trig is used mostly for physical geometry, but my trig knowledge is quite shallow. All I remember is soh cah toa. A little brushing up goes a long way. From my ignorant perpsecrive I'd think a lot of dsp would rely on some algebra as well, but what do I know? You're right, a...

Re: Q: SSL invert phase (or polarity) button
It's interesting to hear how you came up with your plugs :) I'd love to learn about your targeted compression approach in the Leveler (in my opinion a genius device) but I feel it might be a secret chef's recipe. :D Ironically, I found Max to appear more straight forward when experimenting with low-...

Re: Q: SSL invert phase (or polarity) button
Speaking of comb filters and all-pass filters.. It reminds me of the Schroeder algorithm. Screen Shot 2017-01-26 at 19.02.10.png Would it be possible to implement it in Reason? What's the All-Pass you're mentioning here? A RE? What does the greek "E" (epsilon) represent? The allpass filters have ms...

Re: Q: SSL invert phase (or polarity) button
Even though I should, sadly I'm not able to give a clear explanation of all-pass filters... :) But I highly encourage anyone interested in this topic to replicate such algos in programs like PD/Max or Reaktor. And then mess around with values. I remember in uni coming up with a pretty decent ...

Re: Identifying an ID8 patch in the FSB - Is this possible?
A long time ago I emailed PH asking about a piano preset in ID-8 (I think it was the Upright one) and they told me it was based on one of their Refills, which isn't found in the user library... I suppose the same could apply to other instruments presets.

Re: Proton Granular Synth!
Looking at that, I'm wondering if at some point the good old NN-19 will become something like Simpler... even without the recent fancy additions (warp, slice etc). I'd be more than happy with a Simpler from 10 years ago in Reason 9, just for the waveform interface.

No problem! I've also pondered at times about the Windows options.. but ultimately I'm glad I'm on Mac's due to the flowing OS and reliable hardware. Though probably other people will argue with that Each time I sit at a Windows computer it's headaches.

Yeah I use zoom all the time too, even on my external 1440p display. It's a great feature. As far as CPU, there's plenty for me but I should mention my sessions don't usually require stacks of REs. I could definitely push more! Here are some screenshots in 'default' scaling. default 1.jpg default 2....
