"Double click > type value" for all knobs, faders etc...
[Please let me know if this has been discussed already, because I didn't find it.] I often find myself fighting a little to set a specific value, even holding down SHIFT (for fine range). It would be very handy if I could just type the value after a double click, like one would to name a Combinator'...

+1 for the JP-8000. Just the look of an 8080 in the rack would be so yummy!

Re: triggering seperate oscillators in thor
Interesting. The first thing I've noticed was the nice modulation happening with the second note, I presume due to sync. It reminded me of the Ody's aggressive character. Very nice! I tried messing around with some settings and to be honest haven't quite figured the way it works yet :P.. For those i...

Re: What genre should the Next New Rack Extension be geared for?
Well, this thread escalated quickly... into a generic wish-list!
I can't resist then: please, DNA Labs, consider implementing Melodyne/Flex Pitch style editing, and since you're at it, why not round it all up and add a little audio-to-MIDI option? Thanks!

Re: What genre should the Next New Rack Extension be geared for?
Hello. I couldn't really name a genre, but areas which aren't much explored as far as instruments/FX at the moment in the shop. Perhaps this could be of inspiration? :) * Karplus-Strong string synthesis - no need to go too geek * Physical modelling synthesis - no need to go too geek * Pitch tracking...

Re: R8 Transport Buttons
Yeah the click level, I have never touched..
I find really helpful to have all (or almost all) transport functions linked to some key.
Especially tap tempo... In my opinion it feels much more natural to press a key instead of clicking.

Yes to all of the above.
Whatever FX configuration, they will NOT be printed UNLESS you route the effected track (insert/series fashion), or the bus to which you send your vox (send-return/parallel fashion), back into another audio track.
If this is confusing, don't hesitate to ask!

Re: Make 'Bypass' a button, not a switch already
Can they not just make it so that you click in the bypass/on/off area and it cycles through the different options rather than click and drag. This could be an option in the settings. That's exactly what I thought. Or! That AND remove the Off function and put a proper I/O switch in the back panel, n...

Re: Anyone ever think of a possible Reason PRO?
I will add, eXode, I'm not too familiar with dance genres, but my guess came as a result of an instant association with the film Trainspotting and my first groovebox (Roland MC505) which I got in 2000. Not to say it sounds like the MC but some of the arpeggios and patches (to me completely exotic ba...

Oh I'm sorry, I completely misunderstood haha! I switched off my 'technical' listening and genuinely focused on the overall 'vibe' hehe, forgetting it was about guessing production tools..

Re: Anyone ever think of a possible Reason PRO?
Ohhh I wouldn't know, eXode... 1998? Regarding the FX on synths, I must say that generally I've always been turned off by presets on most instruments that have delays and reverbs on. I suppose I'm a tiny minority with that feeling though, but that's alright :) Adding FX myself is a big part of the f...

Re: Get signal directly form oscillator in Thor
Forget option #2. If you turn off the Gate button above the Amp Env, you can just route whatever your 1 is (modifier button 1 etc..) through the matrix without patching anything in the back.
1- Switch off 'Gate' above the Amp Env sliders
2- Button 1 > Amp Env in the Matrix

Re: Get signal directly form oscillator in Thor
Hello. I don't think it's possible to tap a free running oscillator's signal out of Thor before any gate event happens. Not that I'm aware of... However, one way I can think of to get an OSC to run freely would be by using the built in sequencer and letting it loop a single note, full gate. That mig...

Re: Marlstrom update
Hello. As far as I remember reading about the *Malström development years ago, the slicing part has been a hell of a job that I assume wouldn't be easy to implement as an automatic function (time, transient or whatever-based slicing). My understanding is that this is exactly what makes it different ...

I'm definitely curious to know if you come up with something! I've spent some time with the Chronologists' Truth, but to no avail for that particular purpose. Re: triggering seperate oscillators in thor
Sweet! It is indeed working! :) Thanks a lot for sharing! I was aware it had to do with logical distribution of hi-lo notes priority, in fact I was hoping to find a solution using the Charlotte module, but haven't yet succeeded. Now I have a month to play with Viking and see... unless Ivoks has that...

Hello, I am also interested in this function. This thread may be of interest: http://www.reasontalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=7348457&p=20274&hilit=duophonic#p20274 As I also could establish by trying Blamsoft's Distributor and Jiggery Pockery's Charlotte, the same one/two notes response of the Arp Od...

Re: triggering seperate oscillators in thor
I don't know how arp odyssey actually worked, but you can setup a combi with 2 Thors and trigger them by Charlotte alternating. Distributor was built for that, too, I guess. Again the main problem is that a duo-phonic synth worked by playing both oscillators when you played one note (like Subtracto...
