if you buy 9 or 9.5 and end up being even 1 or 2 days before the "free upgrade to 10" cut-off, you're out of luck. so it's best to wait for the announcement if that's what your going for. but like everyone else has been saying, with such a huge v9.5, v10 is probably a ways away.
