Re: Anyone else kinda wish we didn't get VST support?
Adding VST's is obviously a must it just happened about ten years too late. What I "wish" is that Propellerheads would start taking software development more seriously. Reason is about half finished and it seems there is no sense of urgency surrounding its completion. There are basic gaping holes i...

Re: I Need a Clock
I tried Pulsar. It "sort of" works, but it sounds off. Plus, you can't vary the pulse width with Pulsar, so the "width" of the notes is not immediately changeable in Step. There is a Width input in Step, and I tried connecting a variable CV source to it while driving the clock with Pulsar, but it st...

Re: Anyone else kinda wish we didn't get VST support?
One thing I would note however, is that Reason now desperately needs the ability for users to set up their own device menus, particularly to hide unneeded devices, and allow sorting by type rather than dev (as a Dev, sorting by Dev is f***ing cool, but as a user it's f***ing thick), including the a...

Re: I Need a Clock
By "external" clock, I meant something other than Reason's own internal clock. Another RE, for instance, that outputs a clock-like signal with which I can drive the Step Note Recorder. Does that make sense?

Re: Anyone else kinda wish we didn't get VST support?
Since VST support was added, the following has occurred:
- I gained five pounds
- Two of our three cats started peeing on the carpet again
- A mouse took up residence, and then died in the guts of our refrigerator
- I am hearing the voices again.

I Need a Clock
I’m not sure I can even word this in an understandable way, but I need an external clock to fire step sequencers. As I have written before, I am attempting to use Reason as if it were a modular set up. I am not using Reason’s Sequencer. I am simply twiddling knobs in a “live” sort of way, and occasi...

Re: Use 2nd Generation Driver on 1st Generation Scarlett 2i2?
I stopped using the 2i2 some time ago because the driver would occasionally blue screen my machine (win 7 at the time). But now I wish to set it up on another computer running Win 10. If nothing else, this 2nd generation driver is a few years newer, and one would hope, more "compatible." It will be ...

In addition to Attenuation's endorsement, I had also peviously written Focusrite support. They replied yesterday saying, "yes, it will work fine."

Re: Old Propellerhead Record program - does it need authorising?
Mr. Captain Black, Sarcasm aside (because yes, it is annoying — and obnoxious), it sounds like you have an Ignition Key, so perhaps you could deauthorize Reason on your Ignition Key, and then reauthorize it on your main computer. And then plug your Ignition Key into the laptop and authorize Record t...

Re: Timbaland vs Swizz Beatz beat battle, ...
Well the one of the DJs or Beatmakers or Jag-offs or whatever you want to call them, was smoking dope like it was going out of style, and hash-tagging "ImWithTheSmoke" constantly. So obviously dope smoking is a cultural aspect of this genre that should be considered. After listening to the music an...

Re: PSQ1684: AAGH!!
Reading the Fantastic Manual or not, it remains a pretty mysterious device to me and I have an almost impossible time programming in predictable results. "Rolling the dice" does quickly build interesting and usable rhythms, but that takes the intellectual fun out of it for me. I'm afraid Rob Buse h...
