2D support yeehaa!
I doubt there is a cost saving to a developer UNLESS they are outsourcing creating 3D elements. There is a great source of included stuff with the SDK. If you want something unique like Ochen K does all the time, then yes you create yourself or pay for someone to create. Most of the stuff releas...

They need to add support for tabbed views etc (or did they already?) Hopefully this will not be allowed in the near future, as I really dislike this in VST land. Imagine a hardware rack device that could switch the position of its buttons when pressing a button in real life... not going to happen, ...

Exactely ! Look and feel is what makes me prefer Reason over other DAWs. So if the look or the feel is not "Reason way" it's not going to be in my rack !chimp_spanner wrote: But whatever, I guess if I don't like the look of it I don't have to buy it!

Reason doesn't so far have any modules that really remind me of modulars or push the boundaries like hardware modulars these days - they'd definitely have to start there be considered a modular environment to the folks who actually care about this stuff - and I'm guessing the market is equally smal...

That is in line with what I wanted to express in the following topic : Reason should be THE virtual modular reference Reason has everything to participate the "modular rage" of the time. They "just" need to add a "more Eurorack looking" combinator with "mini REs" and advertise it accordingly... But ...

Just to share some thoughts. When I read articles like this one : http://createdigitalmusic.com/2015/02/oscillot-smartest-way-make-ableton-modular/ I can't understand why Reason is not listed as one of the existing modular environments. I think it's only because Reason seems to have not change regar...

Props have shown over time that they rarely update their devices. And with the RE business I don't think they change that policy.

Perhaps an other inspiring device : the arpeggiator in Ableton Live. It goes way behind simple arpegiation, I'd really love to have such features in Reason.rcbuse wrote:Thanks for the idea!

This is really just a GUI update, the same thing people crucified the props over recently. It's a half-assed UI refresh at that, only partially new, so when you say "cool I'll scale to 150 or 200 %"....only a handful of FL plugs are even capable of scaling, so all the rest (most) look like crap. :/...

"miniRE" like the modules in Kong ?! That would be great !!eXode wrote:From a GUI/feature perspective it seems that RE's still can't do or feature everything the stock Reason devices can. KONG is a good example of this. But hopefully we'll get there sooner rather than later.

As someone who uses both PX7 and FM8 (in Logic)...I don't really think they can necessarily be compared to each other directly. I see them as two different things, FM8 is an FM synth with a bunch of other components built into it to make it a stand-alone product that includes the kitchen sink. It's...

I don't think their emails are spam. I'd just want them to talk about something I'm really existed in ! So any old news take only 15 sec to go to the trash.

You're right, in the sense that they don't look quite kosher: it's a result of the need to compromise for acceptance and usability. The shadows are automatic based on the lighting provided by the rendering engine. The difficulty was that I had to exaggerate the tab angles to make certain things obv...

In line with 8.3 an extended Remote for the Matrix. Programming sequences and curves from an iPad would be nice !
Also add a free mode for the rate and add CV inputs and outputs for more control of sequence rate, duration etc.
