Outside of Reason....
FL Studio is my favorite. I have Reaper, Studio 1, Live Suite, Tracktion, Sonar. Reason has a unique way of creating music. I think that appeals to many. Live is different as well with its session view. Reason have everything bundled to make music. For people new to Reason, its hard to beat the in...

Image Line had something called Collab. They ditched it in favor of devoting resources to improving their DAW. How messed up is that?zeebot wrote:I'm guessing they are trying to get more users onto discover seen as its limping along. I'm not sure a new batch of generic sounding loops is the answer TBH.

Reason 8.2 Update is Available!
I'm not usually a troll but for f***s sake... the last 32bit only processor is about 8 years old, there is NO reason in 2015 for software to be 32 bit only, so people complaining about 32 bit support, I'm afraid to be the one to tell you; It's time to upgrade your computer... 64 bit is only nee...

POLL: Have you purchased a Propellerhead Booster Pack?
What I did with the world booster pack(even though I didn't buy it in the end), is have a good look at what's inside, find the names of the devs and then google the product. For example:-Sitar Nation–Impact Soundworks...took me to:- http://impactsoundworks.com/products/world/sitar-nation-classical-...

A very good essay on working with DAWS
Sounds like a person who can't adapt to new technology. I do think recordings have become too perfect. I appreciate live performances even at the lowest skill level these days. Tempos are not perfect, intonation that exists by instrument design are often present. Listen to some of the music of ...

sadly i have sunk quite a bit in reason myself and now i'm using reaper, the $60 DAW, and cursing myself for not buying komplete instead. oh well. don't think in the VST world companies won't disappoint you though. that said, i just found the installer for camel crusher on my PC today. :) You ar...

Perhaps, but is it all relative? Ableton has over 200 employees that their revenue goes towards paying. Propellerhead has... 25? Maybe 30? I can't remember. yeah and ableton haven't launched their own proprietary plugin standard [/b] . that's what i would call audacious for a small company w...

Why online communities always seem doomed to fail
I like the article and agree with all of it really. His points do mach a lot of what happened at PUF. We had a very vocal few who I'm confident weren't "power users" claiming to be the voice of the user base and "rightness" itself. They then took to attacking everything and everyone. I did think th...

The article is an apple and oranges comparison. The title on the link is
Why I’ve found that online communities on media sites always seem doomed to fail.
OP's title of the thread is "Why online communities always seem doomed to fail".
Very misleading.

2nd Prediction on Propellerhead Software
As well as the browser, PH are constantly working on the RE SDK. It's something YOU can't see immediately, but it's necessary work that will result in more things to see in the future. Sometimes good work goes without merit and isn't appreciated until it's taken away. Indeed. I often forget this....

I suggest everyone complain to propellerhead, using their web feedback form. it's apparently the only way to get their attention. https://www.propellerheads.se/company/contact/ I put one in under reason since there's no much choice so i made it pertinent to its value as a reason resource, requesti...

2nd Prediction on Propellerhead Software
I'm still struggling to understand why we are so feature driven. It's not like we use half of the features available in Reason. New features are part of the creative process. Every new version of Reason had features that inspired me to write something new, or change the way I work. The new feature...

Importing audio clip to match tempo - I'm missing something.
Just to follow up on EnochLight... I wouldn't suggest that video's method for a 4-8 bar loop. That's overkill. And I'm not knocking that video... after all I MADE that video! :) But it's not the right tool for a short loop. Ah but it was worth my time watching. I learned something. I hope I never ...

Importing audio clip to match tempo - I'm missing something.
If I understand your post correctly, you've got a 4 or 8 bar loop that is at a known tempo... say 128BPM and you're importing it into reason but it's not the right tempo. This is often the case with stuff like Vengeance Sample packs - or any sample pack for that matter. You've got two solutions... ...

Importing audio clip to match tempo - I'm missing something.
I want to use a loop in Reason but for some reason it won't match the project tempo. A 4 or 8 bar loop comes up short. If I change the tempo of the project to match the tempo of the loop all is well. I saw on a video using CTRL+ALT will do this but it doesn't.

satire image "propellerhead crew"
The picture in the original post is very amateurish and full of vulgarity. Not that I'm some kind of prude, but it just seems out of place in our happy new forum. No big deal, but to assume Props don't listen to their customers is silly. It just seems like many of the forum regulars think that the ...
