Just spent a couple of hours putting this together. It needs an end ...and a beginning...and some work on the middle.

There are nice things in here for sure. At about 1:09 is seems to be a bit like Philip Glass is dreaming on St Elmo's Fire.

Hey Benedict, nice to hear from you.
I decided to embarrass myself and share a vocal draft.
I'm full of a cold so my poor singing voice is even poorer than usual.
There's only one verse so far so I repeated it as a place-holder, well the whole vocal is a place-holder until I can hold a note and have a decent mic, but enough excuses, here it is warts'n'all. https://www.propellerheads.se/s/UP7A7SBg

Song has a charm. There may be a few too many "find me"s in that lyric.

Take care with the Neptuning as it makes your vocal weaknesses worse, esp as you near the notes shift from one to another. I think try less to sing well/properly and focus more on telling the story. That will help you find your own voice which, while you may not be Rod Stewart, will flow better.

Yeah. I know when I'm in the zone and then wasn't it. It'll come, probably after a couple of JD's
So I didn't sing them but I did a little re-write of the vocals and I'll save them for another time but in the mean time I've been doing some other stuff to the track, nothing to ground breaking but I'm on the verge of getting stuck in a loop and I'm looking for a big ending to it.

I see its about a girl. Eew! Best of luck. I actually met a girl recently too but am moving away so seems pointless (assuming she'd even want to talk to me again).

Anyway, the vocal disappeared so can't really comment. Not sure the choir sample sits right but needs the lyric as that is the focus. Don't be afraid of using a chorus to fade or a nice big perfect cadence ending.
