Windows 10 disaster...need to vent...

Well you just reenable it when you want updates, check to see what there is, install them and then deactivate the service again.

what i have been finding is that every now and then the updates and/or reminders miraculously turn themselves back on again. i have often wondered how this can happened and i do swear it is true. i do not use windows much just on bootcamp and still runned on windows 7chimp_spanner wrote:Well you just reenable it when you want updates, check to see what there is, install them and then deactivate the service again.
Agreed. That is the ONLY real issue I have with win10, the "borg collective" aspect.
It doesn't suck, it's not ruining my life, but there is no need to have it simply do what it want. Honestly, many many have had this conversation with them and their reps.......why?
