Selling Unique Compositions?

Has anyone (else) considered selling their music compositions as a package to general consumers/customers?

I hit upon the idea with so many snippets and half-tracks sitting on my virtual cutting room floor. There is - apparently - an older generation/market who place value in buying a unique (semi-orchestral or contemporary modern) instrumental compositions as a packaged gift (for anniversaries, etc.)

I was wondering if I'm alone in pursuing this? I'm not at all concerned about music copyright etc. - simply because it is mine to sell.
