hello,

a lot of people think tom cruise is a jerk
i think his personal life is kindof a jerk
however, he doesn't miss his mark when acting

the trajectory maps in the video
remind me of 'sine waves' and frequency and eq

don't be careful, be confident
best line ever

tom cruise is his own universe

cheers and eat well,

j

I show i was obsessed with as a kid.

Its aged really interestingly given its more than 40 years old: a lot of the themes - the seductive power of technology, the fact society is built on it, the vulnerability that creates, power and control, as well as how many ways it benefits us - sounds a bit banal laid out like that but its even more relevant now.

The mid 70s to early 80s had some great documentary series that have similarly stood the test of time - Kenneth Clarke's Civilisation; Cosmos; Life On Earth. I'd been watching Adam Curtis's Can't Get You Out Of My Head which has a similar monumental but magazine article kind of style.

Also I'm pretty sure the presenter is Ryan's sarky English uncle.

One of the guys from. De la soul just passed away so I'm revisting my early 902 love if 3 feet high and rising.

The title is kind of funny in a gallows humor not very funny way. Don't know if it's made the news overseas but there's been catastrophe level flooding right across the north island of New Zealand the last few days, its really bad. Where I live (wellington) hadnt been too badly affected though its passing down like crazy rn, but its terrible further north, huge chunks of the country are essentially under water. Fucking climate change.

This takes me back. I never was a crasher kid but spent many a good night in this building.

I’ve got Simon Stålenhag‘s Tales from the Loop book (and loved the series), stunning imagery that I find a perfect retro-future style that just really get’s my imagination flowing. Need to check this out, as well as Things from the Flood. Glad I saw this, thanks for posting.

I finally got to see avatar 2.
Man. I haven’t been that disappointed in an artistic offering in years.
What a let down.

I'm hoping for a new season of TftL. I absolutely love Simons art, the visual twists triggers my imagination.

An anime called Violet Evergarden. Like a lot of anime the gender politics are pretty problematic. Buuuut its also really beautiful, lots of interesting ideas and also, incredibly, devastating sad. Actually quite amazing.

3rd season of Pickard. Story's a bit slight and the callbacks are painful but the visuals are insanely good and why else woukd you sit through it?

Oh yeah, Sir Patrick.

We're enjoying the new "The Diplomat" show on Netflix

Rufus Sewell with an American accent is interesting. I don't think he's pulling it off as well as Matthew Rhys in "The Americans", but it's not terrible :) just a bit uncanny. :).
