I'm so sorry we are not entertaining enough for you. Would you like us to tickle the soles of your feet as you giggle?

I wouldn't be surprised if Reason outlived most other daws.

Actually not dead at all. We have daily activity here and a lot of the users hang out on our Slack. Feel free to join in.

As far as RE goes. Props have been vacation (as they do every year) so new RE's couldn't have been released. You'll more than likely see some new RE's in the Fall

I think you should try talking about rap or dj kahled or timberlake-vs a shoe horn.

Seems pretty heated to me.

I'm already supporting RE over vsts anyway, cuz I see those being here quite a while.
"Producers" would know this much already about software being used around the globe.

Everyone, their dog, and their cat has every VST in existence but only a select few out there have the ever-so-delicious and rare RE's at this time. Reason is obviously the future because of modular workflows becoming so popular. People love playing with cables--it just took them time (1977-2017) to realize it. I would not be surprised to see Prop's release a VST product shortly that allows RE's and native Reason instruments to run in other DAWs. You cannot escape Propellerheads.

I heard they are working on this and plan to call it ReWire :D

I do agree that it would not be surprising if Props released a stand-alone 'VST rack' that allowed VST host programs to run REs (and perhaps native devices) without having to rewire to full reason.
