And self-censoring.
To monetize a channel via ads, content creators have to censor profanities and "unpleasant" words from their videos (otherwise advertisers will not show ads on their videos).
But if you pay for a Premium subscription, you still have to watch the crappy censored version.
And because uncensored videos produce less ad revenue, YouTube penalizes them, which forces content creators to make their content crappier for everyone.
