Mac Book Pro died.
I’m over Apple.
Main computer pursuits are Reason and internet time wasting.
Not really a computer guy though. Would this model be appropriate?

But in general the rule is - get the most powerful CPU you can afford (4- or 6-core, ideally not of the U variant), if for Reason then GPU doesn't matter and screen should be 1080p

13.3" is pretty small for Reason's interface - unless you've been using it on that size screen and know it works for you I'd consider a 14 or 15.6 inch screen.

Might be using an external monitor?

I can't remember the last time I lifted my laptop lid, I should move back to a PC at some point... (when my laptop is more towards end of life))

Why would you buy such a monstrosity - in terms of looks, size & weight - instead of a desktop? You're not gonna be carrying it around, it'd look ridiculous on a desk so in the end it'd end up hidden somewhere, hooked up to external screen(s). Like a desktop.

15'' screen is optimal for a laptop (that's meant to be used as laptop) and 1080p is ideal for Reason, until they get their shit together...

Thanks for your replies peeps.
Mobility is a must.
Using external monitor and keyboard when not traveling.
Under $1000 cos I need to buy a buttload of hubs and adaptors to not have to replace my entire peripheral set up and even then it's a crapshoot.
Actually 15" is acceptable.
Reason is prolly the heaviest lifting this machine will have to do at this point in time.
thanks
