Has anyone used this? It looks very interesting. Maybe a bit lazy? But I prefer to be able to concentrate on music rather than mixing (and mastering as well). So maybe a cool product to help get things sounding nice without the need for the kind of experience, expertise & time required to really nail this stuff. I don't think I'm particularly good at it to be honest. and endless 'fiddler'. I never know when something is finished as far as mixing goes. And then if I do I usually come back & tweak some more! Maybe Neutron could be helpful in this respect?

Neutron is a great all-in-one channel strip, for mixing really the only tool you need. The intelligent analyzing features are good just don't expect Neutron to do all the work for you. It can help you getting started but in the end you will have to make your own decisions. I also don't like mixing but I invested some time in learning Neutron and it was worth it imo!
Goan doesn't do Goa, he likes samples, weirdness, beats

Oh, you mean "neutron" ....

It's tits. One thing though, it's a mix-only plug. The masking aspect/design introduces latency (regardless of host) if even one instance is introduced.

But for mixing, it's a bonus.

Originally, I was HIGHLY skeptical. What sold me was that it is adequate for the "track inspector" but alas, you can roll your own. The masking is the other part. It gives you "clues" as to trouble areas.

Also, it has terrific presets and you can change what you don't like.

Neutron is very handy, but be careful with the automated stuff. It can often lead you down a bad path.

The EQ masking is very helpful.

I tried it and I thought it was sort of overkill, at least for individual tracks. Then again, the advanced version includes single plugins that can you can just chuck in instead of an entire strip. But if you just need an EQ and compressor then Pro-Q2 and Presswerk might be a better option.
