[Remote] Item is mapped, but "remote.is_item_enabled" returns false

Hello People

I have a weird behaviour here...
My surface item is mapped to a remote item and works as expected, but for further progress i need it's mode.
But somehow, when i try to check if the item is enabled - remote.is_item_enabled(item_index) - it returns false.

I'm struggling since hours and i run out of ideas.
Can someone help me?
