What Reason stock synth or Rack Extension do you use most for basslines?

From the stock synth I like Subtractor and Thor, both have snappy envelopes.

In the last time I use Zero very often, because it can produce very deep basses and with the grafic envelope you have a lot off control over the filter.
KHS One is also very good for basses, but very CPU intensive.

What are your favorit devices for bass?

Thor, Korg Monopoly and Subtractor. Sometimes I sample bass in NI Massive or Virus TI and import to Reason, but rarely.

Subtractor Bass Guitar preset, and from there I go anywhere
A sustained 2-3op PX7 patch, with slow modulation and chorus, though Subtractor does that sound pretty well too

Yes, I've used Etch Red as well for basslines. What do you use as oscillator with Etch Red?

I use my bass guitar to work stuff out but I have (age :-D) issues with my fingers so i kinda cheat a bit sometimes and loop my takes. Sometimes real bass don't cut it so I still work it out on the strings but play it on keys.

No external oscillators needed its all about the resonance
If you find the envelopes not great for certain sounds you can then use a thors envelope to great use to get the envelopes you want from it .
A word of warning to those with low specced machines it devours dsp using etch as a synth.

As a bassist, I usually use a bass guitar. However, in terms of a Reason instruments, Rob Papen SubBoomBass is my favorite option.

..but for synth bass, I don't have a particular preference. I do sometimes gravitate towards Khs One, TRES, Thor, and Antidote. Etch Red is often found in my chains, too.

I love Antidote, but I never liked it for basses for some reasons. I cannot explain it.

Pretty much anything; Thor, Subtractor and Maelstrum, then feed it through an effect like the Softube bass amp or Scream.

Usually A mix of Subtractor and KHS One. Lately however I found myself using Sub Boom Bass more and more. It has very nice presets and a lot of them!

Viking is the one I usually reach for first. After that it's Subtractor or SubBoomBass

And Parsec is great as well, for more out-of-the-box-type bass sounds. Really rich and resonant

I nearly always use Subtractor. It's just so easy to program for bass.
