How to edit a sample but keep a copy of it unchanged?

I have a long clap on one layer of a Redrum, and I want to take that same clap and reverse it on a another layer of the same Redrum. But when I edit sample it changes both layers. How do I take the same sample and make different edits of it in the same Redrum please? Thanks.

go into tool window select song samples find sample in redrum select duplicate
use the duplicate by using the browse and select from ya main list on left song samples it will be in there to load it
and it leaves the original intact
