I'm not sure what sort of macro support this thing has, but I have an idea.

1 - Make a macro for each direction of rotation.
2 - Turning left (counter-clockwise) should contain the following macro:
  • Click
  • Drag vertically downward, just enough to adjust a control's value down by one
3 - Turning right (clockwise) should contain the following macro:
  • Click
  • Drag vertically upward, just enough to adjust a control's value up by one
The idea here is that you would still have to hover over the control you wanted to change, but the macro would pretend to click and drag over the control when you move the ring.

If this device can't perform advanced macro events, you might need some sort of custom driver to pull this off.
Cool gadget.
