Can't rewire Reason 6.5.3 with Cubase 7.0.7

Just wanted to figure out how to wire Reason 6 with my Cubase. Now i have used both for few years now, but never together.

When i launch and select Cubase with ReWIire in Device mode everything OK. BUT when i launch Reason it hangs for 1 minute and then says "engine not responding"

What is wrong with it?? Both programs are in 64 bit mode. Both programs are updated to the latest patch. What gives??

There's a setting in Cubase device setup called release driver when in background or something along those lines. Make sure it's switched off before trying to launch Reason.
