it's the retina display on macs that got the update i presume

same happened with ableton live a while ago --> the resolution was upgraded to native

I got a MacBook Pro 15 two or three months ago got the 2nd to best one available only thing that separates it was 500gb hard drive vs a tb so I'm essentially I purchased the top tier MacBook (as of three or so months) and before that I had a windows operated msi a500 but to get to my point going from a Windows to Mac, yes the graphics are so much better all the devices look polished and it seems like your upgrading but that's just how they designed it for Macs since I got the laptop there has been absolutely no difference in graphics maybe he switched to a Mac from pc and experienced what I did noticing the quality difference with how it looks?

That's just the OS scaling. There's no additional detail there.

Compare how sharp the fonts are in the tape strip, and the patch display, to the fonts in the device graphics.

i'm not saying i have more detail than anybody else, just that i can see the detail properly now


the difference could be subtle for some mac laptop retina users


i remember some people couldn't notice the difference between retina and non retina on the macs when it first came out
