I have a little bit of hope. Mathias has at some point hinted that there may never be a "Reason 12", and he has also hinted that upgrades may no longer cost money. Maybe Reason+ is the switch to this strategy, and maybe it will come as part of what would otherwise look like a full version upgrade.

However, what seems more likely is Disney+, Hulu+ type of subscription. I am against that.

I have never, EVER, seen this hinted at anywhere. The day upgrades no longer cost money will be the day that Reason Studios adopts Cockos' approach with Reaper, which will be never.

Since the version number is not a .5 or .0 I don’t think it’s a « Reason the DAW » announcement. I think it’s a new service which happen to be connected to « Reason the DAW » in some way as Link is to Ableton Live, something nice but can be ignored if you just use « Live the DAW ».
So not holding my breath. Reason 12 or at least hi-dpi is not for tomorrow.

I remember the parent scraping the bottom of a jar of peanut butter for the last bit of food in the house, and I remember the mom giving her kid a bath in the sink in the bathroom only to find him bleeding from radiation sickness. I'd like to think that this TV-film helped de-escalate the Cold War, but we all know it was when the Klingon homeworld lost their moon, Praxis.

That does not mean he has not hinted at it. It just means you didn't see that hint.

Then post proof. Where's the link? I'll be happy to concede if there is actual proof instead of "I saw it".

Go to the store and select vst as a filter!

Was trying to find it. I looked at his user profile to see all of his past posts, but seems I cannot show all posts of a given user. Finding the thread is difficult, but I will now spend half an hour just to prove you wrong because I don't like your tone that much..

Reason Studios sent out a survey not too long ago. Perhaps some of the questions they asked could give some insight as to what the Reason+ and Companion are.

I remember one of the questions was something like, "What would you like to see more of? Tutorials? Artists Spotlight? etc etc.

I never look at VSTs in the Reason Studios shop. Sale prices are always better elsewhere. No loss to me if the option is gone.

Your not wrong about the price, but the option isn't gone just the actual products? You get loads of RE's and the video courses instead of vst's
