Just want to chime in that yeah, contacting support and installing the logging version is the best way to help us squash these bugs.
Additionally, we've seen some issues in specific macOS versions. If you're not on the latest version of High Sierra or Mojave, make sure you update to that. Some of the previous point updates of those OS versions had bugs that triggers some strange behavior we can't control. And of course if you have the possibility, it's a good idea to move to the latest OS your computer supports since Apple continuously improve things.

I didn't even rrealise I wasn't running the top end of Mojave.
Got R12 up and runing smooth as anything so far!
I'll keep the logging version in cse there are any interesting anomalies to report.
And my sincere apologies for any shittiness I've displayed out of frustration.

Thank you Mattias, for chiming in. I upgraded from Mojave 10-14.1 to 10.14.6. (Still apprehensive about Big Sur.)MattiasHG wrote: ↑04 Oct 2021Just want to chime in that yeah, contacting support and installing the logging version is the best way to help us squash these bugs.

Great news is, this worked like a charm! I got R12 up and running fine! Just have to get my custom maps in there, but this happens every upgrade. So thank you!
I know that many people may auto-upgrade their OS's, but I think there are many like me who sometimes want to lag behind just in case software is not yet compatible. If you guys have not done so already, you may want to let people know to try upgrading to the top of the OS if this sort of problem in encountered. If it didn't occur to me, it probably will not occur to others. Anyhow, I will close the ticket, and move on! This is great!
P.S: Filip sent me to the beta page to get the beta logging package, but when I tried, it said "You're not allowed to download this file." You know, so I couldn't get it.
Thanks again! Yee-Haw!
If you pm me I’ll send it to ye.

Sadly though, while I’ve now got 12 running without flashing etc I have managed to crash it just dragging an audio lane in the seq. reproduced it in logging, sent a report w files.
And at 8o or 9o% zoom the graphics are twitchy. It’s great and more useful than I anticipated but they’re all over the place.

Thanks, I'll wait a bit for now. My hope would be that RS could provide a working link if I need to create logs in the future.
Having said that, I have done little in the way of UAT (indeed, it's not really my function), but one thing I haven't tried is dragging a MIMIC to the rack, or drag-to-reorder seq tracks. I am seeing reports here, including from you, that these and possibly other activities will cause the application to crash. I hope I don't see that, but my gut tells me I probably will. There's more that one way to add a device to the rack, but 'm not certain the same is true for seq channels. Anyway, work-arounds may be possible until the next point update.
I still firmly believe in Reason. Reason is more fun than other DAWS, it seems to me.
