Good Morning,

Are there any standard requirements for Reason and RE drums-related products to have the "Copy To Track Pattern" function? If not, why not?

For example, DNA's Morphine 8 Drum Module, though it's very cool sounding, and has a built-in sequencer, doesn't have a "Copy To Track Pattern" function. The Redrum & Dr.OctoRex have that function, but Reason's RYTMIK Drum Machine doesn't. Shouldn't there be some kind of consistency when it comes to drum machines and Reason?

Thanks,
Eugenius Maximus

It is not possible for Rack Extensions to have that function, only the old built-in devices can do that.
For drum sequencers that are Players (for example Drum Sequencer or mDSQ) you can use the "Send to track" function which will bounce all notes between the L and R locators in the main sequencer.

As for RYTMIK, it's just a sound module without a built-in sequencer, so there are no patterns to export?

Edit:
Oh, and if it's an older sequencer that has Gate outputs, you can write them to track using the free CVPT Player by Lectric Panda.

Thanks, Robotic Bean for your valuable input. That is one of my many bones to pick with Reason Studios; "old built-in devices". I've been using Reason since version 2.5 and now I'm on Reason 10; a lot of Reason's gear looks the exact same.
Love your products by the way.
