my cpu is old, R11 runs well, R12 not so well...

R12 is ca 50% faster on my machine, but only with the right settings.

hm... interesting. which settings did improve the speed on your system?

but tbh i downloaded today the 12.7. version update and it is way faster than before. but still slower than my R11 version.

Note, that i have set it to "max_threads -1" of my CPU.

Great tip! I see if this changes anything for me (not that I complain about R12 efficiency)

I have a full license for R12 and R10- yes, two completely separate licenses

I am currently on R+ as I wondered how different upgrade from R 6 to current versions would be and in the past just when I upgraded there allways came the new version in a fews later. I am here to find out about R13 but it is still a top secret it seams. So wait until I upgrade and you know a few weeks later there it will come out the new big thing.

I also own R 2.5

When I finally move back in an apartment or even house from my trailer I hope I will check it out and use more often but R+ is very intuitive even for me as a mid age Ex Live Sound Engineer with some brain injuries finally on insurance payment.
