I've been mixing down this track of mine several times over and every time I run the mixdown thru MixCheck.Studio to run an AI test, it comes back that there "may be phase issues."

Do you put much weight into that as a make or break for a mix? I think the mix sounds great otherwise, and it can be really hard to identify what's causing the issue, and in this Reason session, I'm pretty much at max CPU usage so it's getting harder and harder to identify & tweak the mix.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

As Andrew Scheps always says; "If it sounds good, then it is good". His other credo is; "The only thing that matters is what comes out of the speakers"

I always take those two statements to heart :puf_bigsmile:

hmmmm ... no
I have done background mixes for films where the sound disks provided to me had phase issues... The mix sounded fine on speakers and in headphones. Listening to the mix in mono may identify the problem file> Or something like this "may" help https://www.reasonstudios.com/shop/rack ... -analyser/
I think there were some free racks for phase issues at one time ( I think )but I can't remember the names.
If nothing drops out in volume when listening in mono... you should be good imo

Appreciate that. That's really where I'm at. When I use MixCheck, I'm basically looking for the following:

At most, minor clipping
Mono compatibility
Balanced Stereo Field & Balanced Tonal Profile

This combined with it sounds good to me in multiple places (headphones, monitors, car, & cheap earplugs through my phone).

appreciate that. I'm going to download a free trial of the correlation plugin and give it a try.

It's a very vague info from that tool, but probably high passing the side channel at say 200Hz would help?

Duke Ellington quote FTW! :)

The question is DO you have phase issues? Otherwise, you’re on a wild goose chase here in trying to fix something that may not even exist. First, establish IF you have phase issues, then you’ll know where to focus any potential solutions.

Does the tool you’re using not tell you where in the song those passes issues may be?

I ignore those on the tool I got. They’re only momentary and in fine with momentary phase correlation issues taking place as I do tend to go wild with effects which could affect that.

What kind of music is it? Is it from acoustic instruments you’ve recorded?
