When I'm in the piano roll of one track I'd like to be able to see what I've done in another; for example, referring back to the bassline so that a synth has a complimentary rhythm.
I believe in FL Studio it's possible to see ghost notes from a different track on the piano roll you're working on.
I don't think Reason has this feature, but I'd be interested to hear her people achieve something similar in Reason. (Sometimes I copy and paste a lane and then temporarily paste it an octave below on the piano roll I'm working on, but that seems a bit of a faff.)
What's the best way to compare different lanes on the piano roll

Good question, and I would like this kind of feature as well, also in the Pitch Edit view (for programming harmonies).

Screenshot or switch to the other track. It would be cool if you could overlay the other track and adjust its opacity though.
It is not too much of an ask for people or things to be the best version of itself!
Layers and ghost lanes, only in my dreams so far...
I used to make music but now I just cry on these forums. @diippii.com
