That's not a particularly good price I got reason 6 for 115 reason 9 upgrade 129, so reason 9 $250. If you had 9 you'd have a better chance of someone biting, hope you can work something out for happy seller and buyer though.

Latest version: Reason 9 @ $399
70%-80% of R9's RRP = $279.30-$319.20
Cost of upgrade from R8 to R9 (according to this thread) = $129 (unless there's a time window right now, in which it's free to up from Reason 8 to Reason 9?)

Your used Reason 8 license transfer price: $279.30-$319.20 - $129 = $150.30 - $190.20 (or if it's free to upgrade to Reason 9 from Reason 8 right now, $279.30-$319.20 - this latter price range being approx. the going rate on eBay UK as well, for factory sealed versions of R8).

I see you offered @ $325 which is okay but $280 is obviously more competitive (no self-interest, l'm happy with Reason 6.5 for now).

Essentially anyone who buys from you will still have to pay $129 to upgrade to Reason 9 (I already have it, just helping you out here). There is no free upgrade for license transfers. So with that in mind, the full Reason price ($399) minus the upgrade price ($129) is $270. I know it sucks since you just bought it this year but Reason 8's not worth more than that.

Your best chance of selling is to sell for $270 or less, unless you find a buyer who isn't great at math.

Actually Reason 9 at KVR right now is 150 it has been sold like that for the past one month or so. The maximum this seller can get a buyer is 80 to 100 bucks for Reason 8. Why would anyone wanna spend more on Reason 8 while they can buy 9 with 150? I just don't get it. I understand there is one advantage for having 8, it is the line 6 amps. Other than that I don't think it is a wise decision.

Personally I can't find Reason 9 for sale @ KVR for $150, but thanks for the tip about KVR being a marketplace, never knew that!

Btw l don't think the seller knew of the movements of other private sellers. When l'm selling something, l prefer to hold my position when a rival offering is priced silly. No need to berate the guy for offering something for sale!

Why don't you upgrade, and then re-sell? Is it not allowed?

HepCat, You don't buy whatever price stated the way it is don't you? Reason was there for 190 and 180 and you give for the seller 150 and they will sell it for you like Studio One 3. If you look at all the way page 5 or 6 you will see the sold prices but the easy way is search the word Reason 9.
