Keyboard Shortcuts

Hi All!
Just found a useful keyboard shortcut I never knew about. This was in the midi editor.
Ctrl / A on a windows computer selects all the notes. I presume it would be cmd / A on a mac. This was on Reason 8.3 btw.
Now people may laugh at me only just discovering this but I never use keyboard shortcuts very often. Something I need to sort out as it saves stacks of time.
The only ones I use are ctrl / K to quantize, ctrl / T to add an audio track, ctrl / F3 to bring up the guitar meter and F3 for the browser.
Oh and ctrl / L to loop things....sometimes.
Another thing I found in the Midi Editor, is if you double click to add a note, I thought it was just that, adding a note to the length of the snap. I never knew that it changed the tool to a pencil and you can double click (hold down left mouse button) and drag and draw a note in any length. Cool!
Anyway, anybody got any other useful keyboard shortcuts or quick tips? Might be a handy sticky this. Hope one hasn't already been made.Nothing came up when I just checked but I didn't have an extensive look. Try and state what version of Reason you use in case it's version specific.
Thanks!

I use F8 a lot. (For the tool window)
Usually for the velocity section or the note length adjustments, not sure what I use it for the most

I never use that tool window lol!
Another handy one is the delete button or the del (.) button on your numerical keyboard (on a Windows comp) sends the playhead to the beginning of the track.

Yeah the tool window gets less and less love as they update I think, but there is still a couple things in there I want fast access to like "explode" and stuff.Creativemind wrote:I never use that tool window lol!

For what i know, the version 9 add only the Z as shortcut to quickly zoom/unzoom on the selection

Your mind might be blown, but Ctrl+A/Cmd+A is a common command for everything. Right there with cut, copy, and paste. Try using it in other places. You can use it here too
Yes the same as ctrl+Z/Cmd+Z and ctr+S/Cmd+S.joeyluck wrote:Your mind might be blown, but Ctrl+A/Cmd+A is a common command for everything. Right there with cut, copy, and paste. Try using it in other places. You can use it here too
There should be something like, control N for New Mix channel. Oh and option click for sending any setting to zero, center or unity.
Oh yeah. I hit cmd+z most often! And cmd+s sometimes obsessivelyC//AZM wrote:Yes the same as ctrl+Z/Cmd+Z and ctr+S/Cmd+S.joeyluck wrote:Your mind might be blown, but Ctrl+A/Cmd+A is a common command for everything. Any shortcuts added in 9.5 does anyone know?
Also, does anyone know if you can mute a channel in the sequencer with a keyboard shortcut. You can mute the clips you have highlighted with M.
Just found shortcuts for the tools (see attachment) I didn't know about. I am gonna go through the manual and learn all the keyboard shortcuts. Just realised though, for some reason the Pointer tool isn't on that list.
Also just discovered, pressing ENTER / RETURN whilst you have a particular clip selected in the sequencer takes you to the midi editing mode for that clip.
I think the Props should make backspace the keyboard shortcut to return to the beginning of the track.

Another Reason(!) why you need to read through the manual at least once.Creativemind wrote:Hi All!
