I think it's time to show up what can be done with Reason (up to 9.5.2) without any priced RE or VST.

So feel free to make a song/track using only Reason and free REs and post a link here.

This is an old track made with a few ID8's (all Guitar sounds are ID8's) there is a couple of drum samples from my T1.
Thors and Subtractors are in there too

I'm working on some Vk-2 stuff but I dug out an old little doo-dad that pretty much qualifies for this. I have more as well but they'd need more work. Particularly in the intro and end I use the ID8 trick I just commented about on other thread.




ID8 Piano Trick learned this from The Widdler:
Take the ID8, put the velocity value at around or below 30 I think (but try out) then turn it up the volume in a manner of your liking, most likely with a compressor or limiter. Certainly add reverb and other fx to taste, it can be great.

All with stock stuff included in Reason. All samples come from Reasons original sound banks also.

Here's a thing I made to make my mates laugh (the aim of all my musical endeavours).
It was when I was exploring the new soundbank during the Reason 9 beta.
Everything's factory soundbank, and there's a synchronous in the middle there.
It was a beta songfile so it won't open now and I can't remember for certain what instrument was doing what. But it was deffo all soundbank stuff. I remember being pleasantly surprised by the string patches.
