Thanks for that! I don't know why I even keep the 32bit plugins, but it's such a hassle to reinstall them all again and some installers don't even give you the choice...

Only a minor update but seems all good. Strangely the Delay Comp latency is a lower number in my template now. Not sure what the deal with that is, but seems to all be working fine.

Performance seems to have gotten a boost as well. I was able to run a song easily that maxed out my pc before the update.

Performance is worse for me, but it might be related to the Spectre/Meltdown fix that I accidentally installed with a Windows update. Damn you, Intel CPU's!

Hey, anyone else having long waiting times after updating, when switching between the Kong kits as example?

cool, an update ! Even if it's minor it's appreciated.
If there are performance enhancements, it would be great if they could write it in the release notes.

Funny enough, this is actually the "old" splash from the pre-7.0 days. I actually liked the newer splash color from post 8.0-10. :( Oh well, looks like they're just getting their color branding back on track.

Trust me - if there actually were distinct performance enhancements, you can be sure it would be in the release notes! ;)

I'll vouch for this. I did a little test on it. I have an old (but pimped out) mid 2011 imac 2.5 ghz i5

Before I down loaded the update I used the stopwatch to clock how fast reason started. Over 3 restarts... Averaged 35 seconds.
After downloaded, 3 restarts averaged 17 seconds.

Thank you Props for getting Reason to start faster for me. :-)

The "intro" picture has changed when REASON start : but on an Apple machine, no difference when Reason start or restart.

Liked the old one better. I mean how is the "light green" related to Reason, other than boxed versions having this colour? Who uses them? It's a weird choice, but maybe a sign of things to come with some more graphical changes? :)

Just turn any Windows Spectre-Meltown fixes on or off when needed.

It's weird - this app states the Meltdown fix is active, but the Spectre fix is not (likely due to no microcode or BIOS update available for my system). Worse yet, it will NOT allow me to turn off the Meltdown fix, which is unfortunate - as I'd love to gain some performance back (and yeah, I tried rebooting after clicking the "Disable meltdown Protection" button) . :( Thanks for pointing me to the app, BTW. I saw that the review staff at Anandtech.com uses it as well.

*EDIT: d'oh! I should have read about how this works further - it looks like disabling it via this app DID work! OK, this is pretty cool - thanks again for pointing me in this direction!

I hear ya. I only visit a very select few sites; not too worried about it. Besides, the Spectre fix doesn't even work for my old ass hardware! At any rate, I can always reactivate the Meltdown fix when I'm not producing.
