Ah.. these are just more visual options, I was excited and hopping for something bigger like more features (radio buttons etc').. I do like the TR & Poly switches though

Nice
The new Combinator controls look great, and it's good to see some performance improvements to the browser.
After testing a bit, initial indexing still writes an oddly large amount of data to disk. Testing now, 4 GB were written to produce a 43 MB index. That's with about 25 GB of content added to the user locations.
It would be interesting to know why all that writing is necessary, but I'm hoping incremental updates to the index show more obvious improvements.
The browser still doesn't remember collapsed folders unfortunately. Hopefully that's still coming...

Btw, they also have a 'press' state which is really nice and was missing from the previous switches (and still is)
it’s a Christmas miracle!

That is what made the browser unusable for me, couldn't create a favorites folder in RRP had to drag and drop from Studio One. At this point RS needs to hire someone from another DAW because they just don't seem to know how to do it. Navigating the browser in every other DAW I've used has been effortless for years, I just don't understand why it's rocket science for RS.
Edit: I just downloaded and checked it's a lot faster searching for one-shots but has a delay as you said when going back to each folder if it's huge.

I was unclear, but by "folders" I really meant the developer headers under Instruments/Effects/Utilities/Players. Those remembered collapsed state in prior versions of Reason.Goriila Texas wrote: ↑21 Dec 2021That is what made the browser unusable for me, couldn't create a favorites folder in RRP had to drag and drop from Studio One. Though sure, I agree that remembering actual folder states would be good too.

Oh ok yeah looking though samples is a chore waiting each time for folders to get indexed....

Reason 10 the Players folder didn't stay collapsed. Didn't get fixed in 11. Now it's all the folders. So it's getting worse and not better.Pepin wrote: ↑21 Dec 2021I was unclear, but by "folders" I really meant the developer headers under Instruments/Effects/Utilities/Players. Update looks good but I don't understand why RS isn't getting it that Favorite lists in the patch browser should be sortable by clicking the list column headers above them! It's something I've been requesting since a long time and the fav lists are barely useful without sorting.
Also, Combinator only allowing 32 controls max is very limiting!

I think I've found a very minor bug.. when adding a new device, on scroll the red border that highlight that device come on top of the transport bar. When clicking away this border disappear however
[edit] this is actually the patches browse focus border, so this bug remain every time it is in focus.

I can't replicate that here on Win 10.

Yeah, I see it as well. It happens whenever you scroll while browsing patches, but only if the sequencer is collapsed.RandomNoise wrote: ↑21 Dec 2021I think I've found a very minor bug.. when adding a new device, on scroll the red border that highlight that device come on top of the transport bar. It's actually around the whole graphic on my screen. It's also visible on other transport buttons when they are active. Very visible when on higher zoom levels.
