This is for anyone interested in upgrading to 12 or want to grab some Players - at the moment, Reason Studios is offering the upgrade at $199 and throwing in all the Players for free.

Even if you don't intend on using 12 due to performance concerns, it's still a good PatternMutator + Polystep + BasslineGen + QuadNoteGen + DrumSequencer bundle (5x70$= 350$)

What about their existing customers who have already paid for the upgrade?

It says "Not available for this account".

I know someone who did the upgrade yesterday, I told him to write to support if he can make a move, if not to ask for a refund (since it is within the after-sales period) and to resume the 'upgrade once the refund has been made

As an existing customer who upgraded to R12 as soon as it was out It doesn't fill me with warm feelings.

That's what it feels like. An anti-reward for being a early adopter and beta tester.

Another hard pass.

This "sale" is also another reminder to avoid buying Reason REs. Most of them are bound to be included in an upgrade or new version. I've been holding off on using reward points toward Friktion or Algoritm for that same reason.

I might buy BLG if it goes on sale (50-60%) off as it's the only RS device I don't currently own.

same . again feeling let down as an early adopter. never again tough....

I can only reiterate what other are saying - once again loyal, early adopters get royaly screwed. Never again, Reason Studios, never again!

I have issues with the reward points required to get devices it cost nearly £500 to earn a £25 voucher so without having a better point based rewards system i.e.

Player device = 25 points (£500)
instrument device = 50 points (£1000)

the whole ecosystem is far to expensive to be seen as a reward and we still can't buy Reason upgrades

So glad I've no interest in players, otherwise I'd be as cheesed off as everyone else.
Also I got 12 cheap too.
Still...it's gonna be a while till they can run any kind of marketing gimmick without pissing everyone off after the R12 fiasco.

I don't know, if they returned to normal per product discounts rather than bundling devices together I'm sure it would work better than the current marketing for most customers.

The only one of those Players I don't already own is BLG, which I can grab with Rewards for $24. And I already bought the R12 Upgrade before the price jump. So, I guess I'll just wait until R12 finally advances out of beta status and gets released as R13.

You mean when R13 is released you will start to use R12 as we will be going through all that beta again in R13....
