Mapping Akai LPD8 to Reason Kong

I noticed the LPD8 works with other instruments in Reason, but with Kong I'm only getting like 1 or 2 pads to work. Anyone have experience mapping it? I did have to previously set up 4 programs on the LPD8 to work with the banks in Koala, but then in Koala they have the advanced and easier mapping method where you simply turn on Midi Mapping and select the pads, functions, etc. you want to associate with the pads or knobs on the device. Reason doesn't work this way.

The pads in Kong are preassigned to specific MIDI notes and they can't be changed. So you'll have to program the pads on your LPD8 to match Kong's layout.

I ran into a similar problem with the fixed mapping in Kong. I found a solution mentioned by someone else here on the forum from several years back: the Grid64P0 player from Retouch Control lets you remap the incoming notes, and you can save remaps as presets. It works with any MIDI input, not just the controllers it is aimed at initially.

The Delta player will also do this, but it is more expensive and probably more work to set up.
