Free VST3 only plugins worth getting now that we can use them?

Figured there’s a whole load of great free VST3 only plugins that have been released and we’ve maybe forgotten about because, well you know.
Maybe worth posting here?

Edit: I can’t actually start this list as I haven’t been able to try any of them yet hahaha :)

Must try that free library.

Could this thread alleviate GAS? At least for a while.

If anything, these topics should be pinned on top; I for one don't know a thing about VST3; god knows what CLAP is, etc. Whether they provide so much more than the usual VSTs, and REs. I loosely heard some extra possibilities, but would be great to know if there's anything mind-blowing.

But all in all, I'd love to go back to this thread later, without having to keep it in a tab, whatsoever.

COMPER! - "Multi-Mode", "Serial Compression" with "Switchable" and "Blendable" circuits!

This is a pretty cool freebie VST3, it's a patreon account but you don't need to subscribe, you can download windows and mac. It's only a month old. A compressor that does series and parallel compression(VCA, FET and Opto) so it's a handy device and quick to get results, I like this one. While your there dig around, there's a bunch of goodies and consider supporting :)

I hate threads like this ... ... ...

https://surge-synthesizer.github.io/ - this is insanely awesome!
http://hise.audio/ - this is like an open source Kontakt (with disk streaming) ...
https://vis.versilstudios.com/vsco-community.html - high quality 3GB orchestral library 100% copyright free (sounded like Miroslav quality at least) ...

Overwhelming ...

Awesome. But overwhelming.

Yep, it's the only reason I'm interested in VST3 support in Reason. The Surge-project is on its own level of awesomeness, with all the synth parts available as VCV-rack modules as well.

For the more technically inclined or the ‘just curious’, this is the free VST3 I’m dying to use in Reason:
https://bertom.gumroad.com/l/eq-curve-analyzer
It allows you to see a high resolution frequency and phase response in real time at any point in the signal path. This is better than a spectrum display because it is a snapshot rather than an ever changing display, because it’s higher resolution (especially in the low range), and it also includes phase which can be very educational IMO.
It’s not something you’d use every day, but if you’re wondering why one EQ sounds better than another, or wondering what a plugin with no visual feedback is actually doing, it’s a very handy tool IMO!

I'd be wary trying too many free VSTs. Even ones by big names have blinked my session out of existence when dropped in the rack.

Is it like Plugin Doctor?

I don’t know Plugin Dr but IIRC it’s a host for one or two plugins at a time. EQ Curve Analyzer is a real time device that can analize ANY signal in your DAW which I find far more useful - but it appears to have fewer features than Plugin Dr (but is free).
Watch the video I linked if you want to know more.

Thanks for the info!

It does look similar, and will be worth a shot. Hopefully, it can help out when using comb filter separator tricks during mixing and alike.

First thing I grabbed was Codec (someone already posted a link to this on KVR above). Was featured on Andrew Huang's best plug-ins of 2022 video he posted recently. Looks like a cool little plug-in. Not tried it in Reason yet. Might give it a go tonight.

Thanks! Gonna check this out. I just saw Sweep Infinity Filter and downloaded that first :)

Endless Smile is one of my favorite plugins (not free, but cheap) and I have yet to find a plugin that I feel does as good of a job at a barber pole type effect.
