Leveler - No compression works like this one. Use it on just about every track
De-Esser -  I use it on all of my vocal tracks
Gain - Again, helpful for any kind of track
ReVolt CV Processor - great for seeing what I'm going when it comes to CV or beta testing REs

There are a bunch of others that I find really creative, but those are the ones that I find myself adding to the rack for every project.

I am also curious about Echobode. Unfortunately I used up my trial a long time ago and I don't remember it very well. I AM a sucker for a lush delay. Is it really that much better than say the Echo? I haven't found a lot of samples out there....

BEST REs:

IMO
1-Parsec
2-Antidote

Both have intensely high quality!

Bought Antidote not so long ago but never seem to use it. I think it's the patches that sound a bit too trancey. Every now and then I have a play with it but I need to give it more attention and get inside its head.

My go to's

Predator
Selig gain
McDSP frog
JP Anansi
TSAR 1R
Punch
GQ7
Parsec

That's my experience with nearly all the synths, 95% of the patches are awful (for my purposes anyway).

EDIT.

not keeping the bass.

Kuassa cerebrus is pretty nifty, worth 49 bucks.

Echobode

I wish Sonic Charge sold enough rack extensions to develop more of them.  I can't understand how something as awesome and as cheap as Echobode wasn't a big success for them.

I'm a big fan of most of Ochen K's stuff. A-Series, probability CV tools and CV tuner are mega useful. Not so sold on his drum synth though. Could've been better implemented IMO!

Audiomatic gets used in just about everything I do, usually for 'dusting' it up a bit and taking some of the digital sheen off the mix.

ReVolt is super handy for routing CV to MIDI (among other things).

Instrument wise I tend to stick with what's in the box. I do own the Korg synths, and a few others but I still end up just going to Subtractor or Thor.

Having just purchased the entire Selig collection (thanks to his generous 50% off sale), I would have to add all of Seligs REs to this list.
Leveler
DeEsser
Gain

Thanks again for this sweet sale, Giles!
Players are to MIDI what synthesizers are to waveforms.

Concurrrr! And "D-Filter".. that 192db cut really knocks frequencies the fuck out! I'm not sure if any other RE has it's capability. "Leveler" is worth it too. I really like "Buffre" but think it may be a little too expensive.
Reason is my girlfriend. Sometimes she mistreats me, but I still love her.

I use those for the vocals along with the FET.

Ive purchased a lot of the synths but I don't use any of them.  I use Omnisphere2 instead.

I'm surprised that hasn't shown up more often on this thread.  It was at a bargain basement price recently too.

Perhaps many have forgotten that it sits at the end of the chain diligently doing what it's supposed to with no fuss that so few realise it's giving its money's worth, or perhaps it's just me that has it available for use on every new project I create.

I'd like to know too because it's on my short list if it ever goes on sale.
