LMAO how many times have you clicked on the net and saw a story with a horrible title just to get clicks. Story had nothing to do with the title. Uhh Ohh.
150 paid RExtensions and still no Grammy
Thought you got nominated.
Still rooting for ya Man!

Any idea about the price?
Looks quite basic tho..

3d man.
I doubt that RED70 will be for everyone, but for me it's like a classic analogue polysynth in the style of classic instruments such as the Oberheim OB series, the Prophet 5 or the Roland Jupiter series. It's perhaps not a very advanced synth, but I think that it sounds good and it's easy to work with.
The provided demos do not do it justice, imho.

So, can we expect some of your custom patches in the factory soundbank?eXode wrote:I doubt that RED70 will be for everyone, but for me it's like a classic analogue polysynth in the style of classic instruments such as the Oberheim OB series, the Prophet 5 or the Roland Jupiter series. I suppose much of the character of this synth will come from the filters, and if they're as interesting as iVoks, that'll be great
The FIRST RED 70 Synth post......? Uuh....please don't shoot the messenger, but yout post was either the second or third post about the R70
My opinion is that Propellerhead REASON needs a complete rewrite!
P.S: people should stop saying "No it won't happen" when referring to a complete rewrite of REASON. I have 3 letters for ya....VST

Yeah I'd love to hear what you can do with it eXode!eXode wrote:I doubt that RED70 will be for everyone, but for me it's like a classic analogue polysynth in the style of classic instruments such as the Oberheim OB series, the Prophet 5 or the Roland Jupiter series. The first impression of the sound reminded me of the (RGC Audio) Triangle II VSTi. ...But polyphonic.

LOL, you're right! Turning master tune to 0 sounds better. It's still one octave too low then - but with Rob Papen's synths its the same .JCaesar wrote:I hope this isn't just me...but I dropped this into a few of my tracks, and it sounds hideously out of tune...
Yeah - I can see the Master Tune knob, but still....
If I try something else...Ivoks for example - it's fine, back in tune - I'm confused

Wow, the master tune is indeed wrong by default. Now I have to fix all the patches I just made.
Tried it out briefly. It's definitely a nice sounding synth with a reasonable price.
Some suggestions:
Some suggestions:
- "Velocity" modulation source: Note-offs should not affect the modulation input value. (or maybe add another "Note-On velocity" modulation source ?)
- Increase number of voices from 8 to 16 (why not?)
- Unison should work with polyphonic sounds, too. Instead of just "on" and "off", maybe add another "polyphonic" unison mode in which the voice count widget ("voices:") determines the number of unison voices per note and the actual max voice count is always 8 (or 16..) ?
(i.e. clicking the "unison" button would cycle through ["off", "unison mono", "unison poly"], maybe indicate poly unison by a different color)
